Alone, in the dark, and surrounded by the howling blizzard, Severus felt more at peace than he had in weeks. The more he let himself be buffeted by the snow, the more the crease between his brows seemed to melt away. He walked for some time, enjoying the crunch of the snow beneath his feet and the twinkle of the stars above. After a while, when it began to grow too dark to see, Severus raised his wand to cast Lumos… but halted himself in the act, hesitating. Steadily, he lowered his arm again and changed his mind — preferring, as wanderers often do, not to know where he was going in the dead of night.
I drew this for @snapecelebration’s Snolidays, Day 1. Prompt: Blizzard.
ID: image of Severus Snape, holding his wand high above his head. His expression is calm. His cloak, black like his clothes, is billowing in the wind. There is snow all around him. /End ID.
