"Issue #26: My Heart Is Too Heavy to Sleep"

Twenty-six issues in and the boys finally get to kiss-kiss-fall-in-love! Aw, I'm so proud of them. I struggled a bit with finding terms for dating in Warriors, since the series never has an in-between stage of friends to mates. "Together" works fine enough for me.

The idea of Pinewing and Cormorantleaf as their warrior names is one I've had for a long time, and admittedly the dumb joke about Pinepaw not knowing what pine trees are is just as old. Hey, he grew up in a wasteland! Not his fault.

It was also fun to draw Cormorantpaw's family again, I love their designs. A little more light is shed on his sordid past, but it's hard for him to talk about. It's still very fresh.

This issue is the longest one yet, so it took me awhile to make, but I like it a lot. I hope you do too.

I've been reading old comics for so long... never had to wait a whole nother month for the next issue.... i feel like i'm being edged. i'm getting withdrawals.

Oml I just read the new skybound issue (26) and I’ve got a few things on my mind.

First things first, I was at first kind of surprised by where the defection was going. TC is someone to switch sides, but Skywarp too is unusual, he’s such a devout Decepticon. But no, he didn’t want to defect and left TC behind 😢 poor guy. Interesting how he seems to have forgiven SW and SS for what they did to him, but maybe he doesn’t really remember/there will be more to it later? Also I wanted to say that I think warp is super attractive in the comic. His hook/hawk nose is to die for 😩 I really love it when they make the seekers look different from one another.

And then Ultra Magnus - I find it interesting how he doesn’t seem to trust TC, most out of all the Autobots. I think it’s because he’s still traumatized from the torture under Shockwave.

The humans are up to shit again, no surprise there 🙄 Maybe we’ll get to see Nemesis Prime again?

Also, what’s going on with Megatron!?!?!? Maybe the weird infection OP endured with Megs arm is affecting him too???

Speaking of OP I love him ❤️❤️❤️ I think they wrote him really well.

I think it’s interesting how Scrapper started talking about they could get more Energon from human facilities because it feels like we’ve moved on from the introduction to a more usual G1 cartoon plot-line. Maybe we’ll get to see more energy facilities getting raided and the Autobots have to stop them? If so, that makes a really interesting dynamic now that TC is an Autobot. I wonder how the other Decepticons will react to it? Though Skywarp will probably tell them when he gets to the Nemesis.

I could keep talking but then I’d go on for hours, I just wanted to say that I’m really loving this comic.❤️
