It is officially time for me to start writing down my theories for The Amazing Digital Circus. My friend told me and our other friend that we had to watch it and now it's all we've been talking about and watching for the last week or so, so my brain is fucking filled to the brim with ideas and theories. Let's begin.
So, we keeping seeing the logo "C&A" in multiple episodes across multiple scenes. In the Spudsy's office with Gangle and Caine, in the office building when Pomni went through the exit, we see it at the stadium in episode 5, etc. We find out for sure what that means in episode 6. Caine gives Jax a gun with an inscription on the barrel. It says "Caine and Abel."
Well, we already know who Caine is. The silly, lovable, and possibly slowly going insane AI host of the circus. But who is Abel?
Now, I used to believe it was Kinger, but after some more thought I've come to the conclusion that it can't be true. Why? Let me explain.
Along with believing Kinger was Abel, I believed he was also the creator of the circus. I realized though that it wouldn't make sense. Abel is the brother of Cain, both being the sons of Adam and Eve, "The parents of the human race." Which, if we decide to believe Kinger and Queenie are responsible for the circus, that would make them Adam and Eve in this story. Caine and Abel, being their so-called "sons" since they created them along with the circus.
The only other person in the circus that I could think to be Abel would be Bubble. I know. I was quick to dismiss it as well. I mean... Bubble? Really? I'm still not a hundred percent about it. but it wouldn't be so far fetched. He's the closest to Caine and is with him everywhere. Abel could often be innocent or naive and Bubble could certainly fit that description.

(Side note: Cain in the Bible was quick to anger as well and was jealous of his brother and God's love of Abel over himself. Who have we been watching slowly decline and break as those around him continue to insult and reject his adventures and forgo voting for him during the favorite character awards? Everyone else was voted over him, loved over him. Same with the adventures. I really do believe Caine is going to break in some way, shape or form, abstraction or not.)
Now, I mentioned Kinger and Queenie. I do believe they're the creators of the circus. "Adam and Eve, the parents of the human race." There's too many coincidences.
First, the matching names and avatars. Not to mention the names are those of royalty. Nobody else has matching names or avatars.
Second, Kinger has been at the circus for the longest. So long he's seemingly losing his mind. It's only in the dark that we see glimpses of the real Kinger. He's much smarter than one would believe.
"Seven years of computer science for this."
Computer science, you say? Jax asks him offhand, when he became a "genius on the digital world." He has experience with technology and knows the ins and outs by the sound of it.
Third, "I just made it up." When he made the butterfly that added a life to Ragatha during episode 6. Kinger has the ability to manipulate the game. Knowingly, at the very least. I believe that all of them could do it, but they just don't know. Kinger, on the other hand, seems to be aware that he has this ability while the others don't. Why? How?
I'd also like to talk about the continued use and reference of bugs/insects. Before we even found out about Kinger's wife, he was mentioning an "insect collection" and then in the 3rd episode he reveals to Pomni that his wife loved them. He later uses a butterfly of all things to give Rags another life. Another instance—and yes, it might be a stretch, but with the multiple mentions of insects and the significance of them with Kinger's wife, I don't think it's just a coincidence—Caine is seen with multiple drawings of bees.
"Hey Zooble, look at this bee I drew!" in episode 3. Plus, the ones on his office desk in the Spudsy's episode. HE EVEN DRAWS HIMSELF AND BUBBLE AS BEES!!
Because of this my brain says "worker bees" and worker bees work for the "Queen Bee." This, to me, is just more support for the theory of Queenie and Kinger being the creators of the circus. Though it does make me wonder if Queenie had more control than we think. If we take all these connections, it points to Queenie being pretty important.
1. Kinger and Queenie's avatars are chess pieces. The Queen is the most powerful piece on the board.
2. In the story of "Adam and Eve," Eve gives in and eats from the tree of knowledge and tempts Adam into doing so as well before God banishes them from paradise as punishment. (The creation of the circus, Queenie's abstraction, Kinger's slow descent into madness, and no exits to be found)
3. With the bee drawings connected to Caine and my "worker bees" theory then Queenie could be the so-called "Queen Bee."
Also, it's not a huge theory or anything, but I WOULD like to point out something about Episode 3, "The Mystery of Mildenhall Manor." because I haven't been able to shake off my feelings about it. That it's more important than we think.
For one, the clear similarities between the Angel and the Abstracted. The many eyes... And not to mention, that the story revolves around a husband and wife. A husband who was left with guilt over what he did to his wife.
Kinger himself admitted in episode 6 to Ragatha that he used to hate himself, that he used to feel guilty over things he thought he was responsible for. I think there are connections between the story of Mildenhall Manor and what's actually going on with the circus.
