Yeah I dunno, I just kind of disliked the pacing of this entire episode. It missed the mark for me at every step.
Maybe its just because I've spent so much time with the two chapters being adapted, but there's just some weight that is missing in almost every scene. The lingering dread and the dark humor and the hope that things will be okay. The hugging too tightly to someone you can't hold on to. The refusal to engage directly with the truth.
The educational bone assembly minigame isn't just for a goof its about how bodies are delicate and incredibly specific in what they do and how they do it. The awe of it. The arduous task of rebuilding that in every detail.

not to religionpost on main but evangelicals really seem to hate when you tell them God/Christ has a preferential option for the poor. especially as a response to their "put the Christ back into Christmas" rants. like ok then go fucking donate to the food pantry??? go volunteer??? OH that's not actually what you meant? mmm yeah ok how very christ like of you
....alright this is a niche complaint but I found a Megalodon tooth that is almost the PERFECT version of what I'd like, from the perfect LOCATION that I've been looking for (which is unusual because most of the Megalodon teeth from this area aren't as large), BUT...it's in the UK.
I am a third of the way through Dayspring by Anthony Oliveira which is an almost indescribable poetic novel about the beloved disciple and Jesus and it has skyrocketed its way into the “top three novels you should read to understand me” list and I stayed up so late last night reading it because it’s about devotion and abandonment and the eroticism of the divine and corporality and all the feelings I have ever had about Jesus
