My mother brought my childhood set of The Chronicles of Narnia with her on this visit. As you can see from the spines, I literally read these books to pieces. They are getting a place of honor on my bookshelves now!

#the chronicles of narnia #cs lewis #the lion the witch and the wardrobe has no back cover because I was reading it outside once and it got left in the rain #the voyage of the dawn treader was taped together but even that wasn't enough to hold it #I guess you can tell which two were my favorites #although none of them survived unscathed #the last battle is in the best shape of all because I always hated reading it #not because of anything in the story but because I hated the reminder that narnia was no more #I was always pretty sure that if I started the series but held off on reading the last battle as long as possible #narnia would still be there for me to get to #no matter how many times I'd read the series before #it never worked #but I always hoped

YouTube keeps recommending me clips of that new High School Musical show and it suddenly reminded me of the time I went to East High last summer and 90% of the other visitors were also 20-something-year-olds fulfilling their childhood goal of walking down the same hallway as Zac Efron.
