GOD I hate the feeling of finishing a story you've been with for a while

I'm working on a funky little series inspired by the Welcome Home: Rainbow Factory AU by @dodozoi . I'll be posting it as an audio drama on TikTok and then compiling big chunks of the story on my YouTube channel when there is more.

The story is an original by yours truly that is simply inspired by dodozoi's AU and is not meant to reflect their canon. I just think their designs for the characters are neat. I wanted to try a new style of storytelling that isn't just written on AO3 - However, I will post an entirely text version on there soon! I don't know if they did the finale the way they did because they're truly hopeless that they'll get a third season or something, but what a way to end such a bombastic show with a whimper. It's not even only about what happened to Izzy—it's everyone. Ed and Stede getting their "happy ending" that quick is not satisfying or quality. Frankly, they don't *deserve* to be innkeepers yet because they haven't experienced the growth necessary for it. And the gradual shedding of the crew this entire season, no doubt due to time/budget, has also been unsatisfying and depressing. What happened to Izzy is...sickening. Very a lá Supernatural's Turbo-Hell. I also don't know if it was just budget cuts or time restraints or other things we aren't privy to, but I would have rather had a satisfying arc with cliffhangers and no season 3 than such a rushed ending with the (current, yet faint) possibility of a season 3. just an absolute fumbling of the bag
