saw a post that reminded me of the time in college that i was secretly seeing a guy who had an emotionally volatile stalker (the reason it was a secret) who would sit outside his room for hours and hours if he told her he was too busy to hang out or pay attention to her, and also if she ever saw me go in his room she would have a meltdown and threaten to kill herself and refuse to stop until he defused the situation (a process that frequently took 8 hours or so), so i once got stuck in his room overnight because she camped out and i couldnt leave without her seeing me
