jason's twenty, and he is coming back to life in the odd, incremental way that happens after you've spent a few years buried under your own skin.

he starts getting haircuts. gets his hair washed by apprentices and professionals, and on the odd occasion his landlady who says he reminds her of his son.

he shows photos of both women and men and really it grows less into a maintenance of image and more into the practice of speech and language, of sitting still in the chair while his hair gets shampooed, deliberately untensing when they give him a scalp massage.

he laughs. he trades gossip that isn't exactly friendly. he shaves his head one day then grows it out later. he writes love letters in his head to a life that just won't come. he's in drybars and supercuts and he's in dick's kitchen at midnight letting him shave the underside of his head and he's wondering when is my life going to start. when am I going to look in the mirror and see myself.

gotham sees him well enough. she's smarter than most people and recognises the dip of his shoulders as he walks into an establishment; if the todd kid acts anything like the red hood, or happens to say something that leaves glances askew, those on crime alley are none the wiser.

jason's twenty-three. the white in his hair stopped growing from the root about a month ago. he is a haircut away from being a full brunet again.

I've finally more or less figured out how Epic Falls is gonna go! Everything I make for this au is probably not gonna be a fully finished piece, I just had an itch thinking about Ford and Bill in this AU

In this AU, Ford, Stan and Shermie are all sent to fight in the war, through a series of misunderstandings and accidents and more than a little intervention by a certain demon to get Ford out of Ithaca

Shermie was the heir, being the oldest, but he figured Ford would be a better ruler than him anyway, Stan was actually sent to war by King Filbrick in order to ensure Ford would be next in line after Shermie, and Ford got a very odd dream that convinced him he needed to prove himself to his kingdom by winning the war for Ithaca. Little did he know Shermie was also leaving... (for more info you could look at the epic falls tag!!)

ANYWAY, Ford and Bill. Wow are these guys interesting.

Ford basically treated Bill as one of his only friends, his muse, and Bill convinced him that he needed Bills help to win the war. It's only once he break the deal with Bill and properly lets his brothers in on the warplanning that they pull a Trojan Horse and win the war. (The actual reasoning for the war in this au is... under progress)

Bill, angered by Ford's insolence and him breaking the deal, acts as nearly all the gods in this AU, taking the place of Athena, Zeus in Thunder Bringer, and Posiedon (Bills goal in this AU is to rid Ithaca of all of its heirs, and he has his own ulterior motives for that. Getting into his character is gonna be a blast guys, trust) (all of which has IMPLICATIONS for 'We'll be Fine')
