The initial idea:
Spending hours finding/making the perfect pictures/gifs for a post:
Exhausting oneself and running out of spoons/motivation to write the wordy bits:
Jaskier = Dandelion
Dandelion- Dandy + Lion
Dandy= "a man who places particular importance upon physical appearance, refined language, and leisurely hobbies" (definition stolen from Wikipedia for brevity), some dandies are associated with being promiscuous, and two of the most successful men considered dandies, Lord Byron & Oscar Wilde, were queer
Lion= in the context of the show, associated with Calanthe (Lioness of Cintra) & Ciri (Lion Cub of Cintra)
Ciri is (essentially) the adoptive daughter of Geralt, aka the White Wolf (another pack predator)
Therefore, Jaskier is the Chaotic Bi Uncle™️
It’s no Wayne Manor. But it will do.
REGARDING : PEGGY CARTER
the thing with peggy is that she was undeniably a very important person to steve. he loved her, and she loved him, and for an isolated moment in time their relationship was full of potential, but it’s a moment that came to an end borderline before it could even really begin. they cared for each other and loved each other, but honestly, they didn’t really know each other. they didn’t have the time to build a base of understanding because of the circumstances of their lives.
when he is unfrozen there’s also a big aspect of feeling like peggy is very tied to a simpler time for him. it’s not a better time, but especially when he’s still in the earlier stages of adjusting it’s at least something he feels like he knew. he mourned the maybe, and the what if of it all, but i think the narrative of peggy being ‘the love of steve’s life’ often stems from attaching steve to the past in a way he doesn’t even want. when he says he wants to honor his past but not live there, in a way that also encapsulates peggy.
the whole point of which being that while there was a very genuine love there, they just did not have the time to really know each other. steve has mourned the possibility of them, and mourned her, but they very much exist in a bubble that he wouldn’t choose to go back to ! additionally i think in part my issue with steve and peggy is that they’re so often used to paint steve as someone who is very stuck in the past, while so much of steve’s journey is learning to live in the modern world and build a life for himself in it !
he’ll always look back on their time with fondness, but it’s something he knows [ and is comfortable knowing ] wasn’t meant to be rather than the ‘i will never love someone like that again’ sort of thing it’s sometimes painted as. it’s not any less meaningful to him because it was short lived, but he has lived and loved in this century in ways that were important and that he’d never undermine or give up.
