BACK AT YOUR BULLSHIT AGAIN 🗣️ GLAD TO HAVE YOU BACK
BACK IN MY BULLSHIT!!!
Eugene, to Stephen: *Quietly* Son, I understand wantin' to show off how powerful ya are now that you're a magician and whatnot-
Stephen, just as quiet: Sorcerer, Pa.
Eugene: Whatever. But didja have to "fall in love" with a Stark of all people? Sure, he's smart in his own way, but he don't have a lick of sense when it comes to this lifestyle!
Stephen: Now, Pa, that isn't true-
Eugene: *Gestures to Tony, Who's Failing Spectacularly to Wrangle and Kill a Hog*
Stephen: ...Okay, so maybe he has a bit of a dilemma going on, but he's trying.
Tony: *Nearly Gets Trampled by the Hog*
Victor: *Swoops in and Kills the Hog* Dinner's set!
Tony: I meant to do all that!
Stephen, sighing: Oh, Tony...
One of the issues with traditional drawing is that I can't make layers, push undo, zoom in, copy and paste the other eye, my guides all have to be erased which means potentially erasing the final lines I want, everything looks 2D even when I try to make it not look that way...
Okay, maybe there's a lot of issues with traditional drawing that digital drawing solves...
But, the strong point of traditional drawing I have is that I don't suck too badly at it. I am horrendous at digital drawing.
I think part of the issue with something like BookTok [or Tumblr] is that we are hearing everyone's opinion. Not everyone reads the same way, and we are all forced into each other's timelines against our will. It means we are often having to confront opinions in ways we don't want to be challenged. I never like to think of myself as an elitist, but I've had a sort've come-to-Hera moment and accepted that on a certain level... I am an elitist. I thought that loving Space Jam, and Sucker Punch, and Rent, would prevent this condition from taking hold over me, but... I read Anne of Green Gables at a very young age and I don't think there's any hope for me. I have a Janus Film tote bag, I love a Criterion sale, I can sit through a three hour movie without needing an intermission, I don't even hum along to musicals anymore when I watch them because I think it's bad theatre etiquette. I'm a ✨pretentious bitch ✨ That doesn't mean I can't appreciate fun! ... I enjoy fun things, and I am the first person the need to scroll when someone doesn't like something I like. But, critics exist for a reason.
