Quick tip: as silly as It sounds, watching kids show in the language you're learning helps a lot ! :D I mean, if they're meant to teach kids to speak their very first language, why wouldn't it help older people learn a new one?
If you want to get fluent you have to view it as starting from zero, the same way everyone started from zero when they learnt their mother/first language as kids! Good luck!
So little phonetic lesson/clarification on italian pronunciation of italian riders (this simbol : places BEFORE a letter indicates its pronunciation is either longer in case it’s a vowel or the fact it’s doubled in case it’s a consonant)
Cele -> [ˈtʃɛle] the C sounds similar to the CH in the word Chair, if you want to say Celin, it’s gonna be [ˈtʃɛli:ŋ] with a nasal N then.
Diggia -> [di:dʒa] I already made a full post about how to pronounce his name, go check it out
Pecco -> [ˈpɛ:ko] you have to really open the E sound, and don’t make the O sound like you got an U after it, just a plain O
Bez -> [Bez] because the Z had to be very hardly pronounced, like in Zanzibar or Zucchini, NOT a ts sound with different
Mig -> [Mig] HARD G, like Game not like geko
Franco -> [franko] ROLL. THE. R. I wanna hear it RRRRRRRRRRR roll it and again, a proper O, not with an U after
Enea -> [ˈɛnea] please pronounce the A at the end🩷
Luca -> [Luka] hard C, don’t say it with a ü, it’s a normal U like pUll not like Unique
so uh I was trying (keyword: trying) Italian on Duolingo (very first lesson) and I just. Could. Not. BECAUSE HELLO IN ITALIAN IS STORMING SALVE. Like in Latin. Because it’s a Romance language. I DO NOT WANT TO GREET PEOPLE LIKE A ROMAN SOLDIER. Wtf Italian.
Frick Duolingo, how do I learn languages for free guys
