This is from all the way back in Feburary 2024! It was for a character reveal in the Delta Green game I'm in and that revealed happened a few session ago, which is why I'm only posting this now. This lamb mask basically commits identity theft (it changes the wearer's appearance and voice into the target's) and can store up to 7 identites, as per its eyes.
A certain Agent Eve used it to frame Gavrill, my character, for serial murder he didn't commit. Why? Guess you'll have to go to @sparrow-flight where I post short stories and comics about this game!! (And also idk wait about a year because I have like 90 chapter drafts to get through.) It doesn't help that Eve's also partially responsible for the death of Gavrill's family, too...
This was sketched digitally, and then was inked with a dip pen on a bristol board. Colours and screentones are added digitally (where I turned my ink smears into blood lol)
I started playing Webfishing earlier this month and made my man Finan Syahputra... or Syahpawtra, you can say. He's safe from the hororrs here (I say as I proceed to start Mouthwashing on the same day)
I've had this idea in my head for 3 years. Glad to finally have the time to get it out! Story goes, this takes place during the first Delta Green game I ran where I featured these two, Finan and Claretta, as a red herring/self-indulgent cameo during an operation that interrupted their honeymoon.

I've been so busy, I first made the file for this drawing on 29 Aug and only finished it exactly a month later. But I've only really worked on it in the past few days, how embarassing :') process shots and a bit of rambling are under the cut!
The original idea was to have the background white, but then I accidentally inverted the white bits of the background which made it go black, and I thought it looked pretty cool! This was really a trust-the-process drawing, too. The lines are nice, but I wasn't really feeling it until I accidentally made the background black LOL
Both guys are wielding the guns they use the most in the game. Gavrill has a RPK-74 Kalashnikov (light automatic rifle with 10% lethality, something he's used to from fighting in Chechen wars), while Finan has an SPAS-12 (shotgun, model made by Griefyn on Sketchfab).

dubiously straight male wifeguys who immigrated from an Islamic region to Canada for a better life only to end up working at an organisation that fights the Unnatural, lose their partner who's firecly skilled in a field of study (and their partners' lost is a part of a bigger conspiracy), wear wedding band(s) to commemorate said partner, never properly processed their grief and guilt so it turns into some flavour of obsession, are/were pretty depressed ngl without being mechanically depressed, but pretend everything's fine with their immediate family. I swear they are different characters LMAO
Also, I worked on this in Indonesia, Canada, and on the flight from the latter to the former (sponsored by The White Vault). Packing my bigass screen tablet away while the plane was suddenly hit with wild turbulene was NOOOT fun HAHA I'm telling you, my bag and I were some centimeteres off the air before I crashed to the ground so hard, I was forced on my knee (and the seatbelt light was off before that lmao)
I don't care that this campaign ended like 2.5 years ago, it still lives rent free in my head. It's not like I recently drew these, but I did decide to redesign the way I was drawing M-EPIC uniforms like a year after the game ended LOL (and I still have all the comic/art ideas that are still buffering in my head...)
Anyway, since M-EPIC's a branch of the RCMP, I thought it was damn well about time I actually looked at the RCMP uniform for research and reference. (I even got the pant stripe!!) This is also tailored to Finan's very specific build of being too wide for clothes his height, and too short for clothes his width.
Delta Green bingo! I made this at 1am-ish so sorry if some things don't make sense. All but 1 were written with game mechanics in mind, and to clarify, 'Survived Lethality' = the roll to hit with Lethality succeeded, but the actual Lethality roll failed. But honestly interpret them how you like lmao and feel free to reblog with your bingo!

It's my boy Finan Syahputra's 3rd birthday!!! I can't believe it's on the same date as Canadian Thanksgiving and TwoSet Violin's last post lmao
I have a birthday tradition for Finan where I put draw him into how I celebrated my birthday that year. In 2022, it was cafeteria banana bread with a candle served on a paper towel a few hours before my calculus midterm (that I bombed but still passed). In 2023, my roommates tried baking a pan of brownie in secret. But it was too hot too serve, so they tried cooling it by glad-wrapping it, placing a single ice cube on top of it, and then leaving it in the snow.
And this year, my friends surprised me with cake and a candle on a phone app LMAO I was in the middle of doing my assignment which I'm pretty sure I didn't finish. I wish I could've made it look nicer, especially looking back at the previous stuff! But alas. I'm juggling the next @sparrow-flight comic, 4-5 assignments, and preparing for 2 midterms this week.

Finan's friends are David and Dahlia! David is Finan's childhood best friend. was in the army until he joined a mercenary company he roped Finan into (they tried having a medic on the team). Meanwhile, Dahlia is Claretta's childhood best friend. They had a falling out but reconnected as adults! She's an orcheastral cellist and a video game composer/sound designer. I imagine Claretta being the one behind the camera, too.
I kinda gave up tracking the timeline I wrote for Finan and Claretta, but I guess it's safe to assume that Finan would've started studying for the MCAT (exam to get into medical school) around this time. He went into university to study medical science and go into medical school, but he dropped out 2 years later because there was no money to sustain that. He became a paramedic instead, worked as one for a year, then got pulled into Redshrike Defence International to test run having a combat medic on the team.
He's doesn't like the blood on his hands, direct or indirect, but he and his older sister were desperately trying to keep a roof over their immigrant parents' heads and their own heads. So as soon as Finan has saved up enough to entertain the idea of a career change, he begun studying again.
But in the end, he never got to become a doctor, let alone attempt the MCAT, lol lmao. (But at least he's being paid really well right now tho)
