I really really have a thing for male characters who move closer when their wives are holding a knife to their throat or have already stabbed them.

On one hand, I do understand that Alan is supposed to be Just A Guy, like he's not particularly evil or unlikeable, he's actually very polite and not very antagonistic, he's a prime example of someone affected with the Disease of the Mind who doesn't really care about much else other than doing the job he's supposed to.
However.
I think its fun to clown on him anyway. Now maybe that has to do with him really reminding me of Hopkins the bastard from canto 1, but I do see him (and this is probably/totally a headcanon) as being polite simply because he's supposed to be that way with limbus company in order to maintain their partnership. He doesn't care about what isn't relevant to the job, and he only ever mentions Dante, he doesn't even say Hohenheim's name (I spent quite a bit of time going through his dialogue but I could be wrong), and those two are probably the only ones that are on his "level" of authority (look at, more obviously, how he treats Kira at first when she's uncooperative, but also his clear and blatant dismissal of Faust as just an interpreter to the more important Dante).
So, am I mischaracterizing him by being perhaps less polite and more of an ass and directly so? Yeah, probably. But I'm having fun so I don't think I care that much. This is also my way of clowning on him lol.
I also love when I get sent anon hate on that blog, he totally deserves it (wink wink nudge nudge).

I'm gonna do my legal name change this year. I've filled out the application and need to get my boss to notarize some stuff for me and then I can mail it out. I'm finally doing it.
got a fan for the foot of my bed at night and every time i turn it on i think of that diagram someone drew of themself in bed with like 3 fans and an AC unit plus the distinct acknowledgement that their ass was outside the covers
holaaa!! can i say ask something? a part of me thinks that most of the time pride becomes white cis gay pride and sometimes forgetting the other part of the community idk .. i feel that
Thats because pride (and basically every other liberation movement) has been whitewashed! The best way to combat it is to find community with people who are similar to you. I only have a few BIPOC queer friends IRL, but sometimes a friend or two is enuf to make you feel more welcome. Also this is your community too, you dont need anyones approval to participate in pride. It is all very much yours. Claim your gay power!
