Okay so I’m prefacing this with the fact that I would absolutely die for the y/j animated series and watch it a million times over and never ever get bored of it-but...
The youn/g jus/tice animated show is.....bad. Please don’t get me wrong, I absolutely adore the show, the writing in season 1, and the really good complex storylines. But it doesn’t feel like You/ng Justi/ce to me. It feels more like a “we’re sorry teen titans was canceled, but heres a bright shiny new teen titans that we’re selling under the name young justice” show.
It was an absolute shame not having the original cast, making it not feel like it’s Tim’s team, making Kon into Conner was a mistake, not even having half the original comics cast showing up until season 2, and placing Cissie in season 3 just doesn’t at all feel right to me. Sure it nods at a ton of the original storylines, but it takes away the important friendships formed from the comics.
like i love yo/ung jus/tice, both the comics and the animated series but i just think that it could have gone far with the same storylines, but with the original cast instead.
