When we already made the selection for the artists and had all the designs in store for the future murals in the Kathmandu school. Last minute we saw this drawing by @kyyakyyakyya. And absolutely fell in love with it. "It's ok to make mistakes" was destined to become a mural setting the message in the hearts of the youngsters. Those little girls on the photo was begging to let them paint the mural. We were quite cautious to give such task to the little ones but wanted everyone to have the experience of painting on the wall. And we promised, this one would be theirs. They were exhilarated! @kamilla_sun, the curator of the project, did the outlines of the image and explained how to do the strokes. Because Kamilla tried to accomplished many murals in a short time she had to leave to supervise other walls. "By the time I came back",- recalls Kamilla " I've noticed that kids did some mistakes in the direction of the strokes. I laughed and pointed it out. And immediately, got the response from the girl who did it: "It's ok to make mistakes!")) And we both laughed, because I was happy to see that she soaked this in immediately. I explained, that it's important to try your best, but if that happens that you did a mashup, we shouldn't judge ourselves or others. Just try again and do your best next time!" The representation of the creature-girl on the image is @kyyakyyakyya portraying herself covered with the cocoon of shame and guilt because of the mistakes she did. Flying uphigh to the sky she is trying to see from afar the perspective on the issue. By that she is slowly shedding the layers as she goes further away and feeling more at ease with it...
