This was taken right before the last hour of our 32 hour labor. All I can say is that as these last few days have passed and I have seen my wife transform into a mother my heart has completely broken open. I have no words to describe how thankful I am to have her as my partner in life and love! #womancrushwednesday . . . . . #everyday #lesbianblogger #lesbianlovinglife #lesbians #lesbiancouple #lesbiancouplegoals #lesbiancouples #couple #momsofinstagram #momlife #moms #mom #twomomtribe #laboranddelivery #labor #pregnancy #samesexparents #samesexiui #iuisuccess #ttccommunity #ttc #gay #amor #gaygirlgang #pregnant #push #timetopush #loveislove #grateful https://www.instagram.com/p/CA_O_6OBucC/?igshid=tuno37dt1vvt
Didn't really get great pics of today's ultrasound but we finally found out their genders!!! We are so so excited. Now we know what their names are 😍. Sorry, but for now that is our little secret 🤐! The doctor is very pleased with my progress and their progress and says everything looks perfect. My belly measured 22 weeks even though I'm 17 weeks 4 days! I knew it was growing like crazy. The babies are so sweet; Baby A is definitely the calm, cool, collected one, with their legs spread out and relaxing, while every single time Baby B is literally kicking and punching for until they get some attention on the screen! We'll see if their little personalities hold true when we see them in 18-20 weeks 😂 . . . #genderreveal #iuisuccess #twomomsquad #pregnancy #twomoms #twinpregnancy #twins #multiplepregnancy #multiples #lgbt #lesbian #mommy #mama https://www.instagram.com/p/BmegZ5-gUVt/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1651v6kdzg2cs
Understanding Ovulation and Fertility: Facts to Help You Get Pregnant
Ovulation refers to the release of an egg from the ovary, which typically occurs midway through the menstrual cycle. Understanding when ovulation occurs is essential for couples trying to conceive, as it marks the most fertile window in a woman’s cycle.
What role does ovulation play in the process of child conception?
Ovulation plays a crucial role in the process of child conception. Here's how it works:
Ovulation: Ovulation is the release of a mature egg (ovum) from a woman's ovary. It typically occurs in the middle of her menstrual cycle, around day 14 in a 28-day cycle. The egg is released into the fallopian tube.
Fertilization Window: Ovulation marks the most fertile period in a woman's menstrual cycle. Sperm can survive in the female reproductive tract for several days, so having intercourse in the days leading up to and during ovulation increases the chances of sperm meeting the egg.
Fertilization: If a sperm successfully reaches the egg in the fallopian tube and fertilizes it, it forms a zygote. This is the beginning of a potential pregnancy.
Embryo Development: The zygote starts dividing and developing into an embryo. It travels down the fallopian tube towards the uterus.
Implantation: Once the embryo reaches the uterus, it may implant into the uterine lining. If successful, this results in pregnancy.
Without ovulation and the release of an egg, conception cannot occur. Understanding one's menstrual cycle and pinpointing ovulation is crucial for couples trying to conceive naturally. For those with fertility issues, assisted reproductive technologies like IVF can be used to facilitate conception, even without natural ovulation. What is PID?
PID stands for "Pelvic Inflammatory Disease." It is a serious infection of the female reproductive organs, including the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. PID is typically caused by untreated or undertreated sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as chlamydia and gonorrhea but can also result from other infections. Common symptoms include lower abdominal pain, fever, unusual vaginal discharge, painful intercourse, and irregular menstrual bleeding. PID can lead to severe complications like infertility, chronic pelvic pain, and ectopic pregnancies. Early diagnosis and prompt treatment with antibiotics are crucial to prevent these complications. Regular STI testing and safe sexual practices can reduce the risk of PID.
