I go through opposite extremes of doubting myself and believing I can do something, of thinking I don’t have what it takes to thinking I’m gonna slay & I got this. Not going to lie, it’s easy to focus on the negativity and is very convenient to just say things won’t turn out well so you don’t get disappointed. But honestly, where’s the point in that? There’s a mountain in front of you, but if you say you can’t climb and just leave without trying, you’ll walk the rest of the way living with regrets while you see others who have either conquered it or at least tried. I guess you could say I’m afraid of disappointments, of failing myself. I’m afraid of feeling worthless. But every time these thoughts slowly crawl in my mind, I have to fight it and say “I have a calling. I got this. I’m a nurse. I’m not perfect, but I’m growing every day. I doubt myself.
