Me, having lunch with Slovenian colleague: So, how does it work with having three versions of Father Christmas, do you celebrate them all on the same day? Because there's Santa Claus, St Nicholas and then...Dedek...ok I know it's NOT "Mrož" because that's "walrus"...

Slovenian colleague (probably dying of laughter on the inside): Dedek Mraz.

Me: Oh right because "mraz" is "cold" or "frost" right?

Slovenian colleague: How do you even know the word for "walrus" in Slovenian lol

Me (internally):

Me (aloud): I have some truly random words in my vocabulary lol.

Me: Do you think I can get extra credit for it on my oral exam? How would I even get that into an answer to a question?

Slovenian colleague: <thinks for a bit>

Slovenian colleague: Ooh! You could say "ah, to je težko vprašanje. težko kot mrož". Because težko can be difficult OR heavy!

Me: NICE

Two years ago I made a drawing based on portrait of Izabela Czartoryska by Alexander Roslin. Today I’m presenting you a redraw. Izabela was Polish princess (wife of Adam Kazimierz Czartoryski), writer and fundator of the first Poland's museum (Czartoryski Museum). She lived between XVIII and XIX century.

Look into her eyes. Give her your soul.
