original lobby card set for The Black Pirate (1926) with an original story by Douglas Fairbanks under the name Elton Thomas, adapted by Jack Cunningham. Jack was born in Ionia, Iowa, and had 140 writing credits from 1913 to Cecil B DeMille's Union Pacific (1939).
His other notable credits include The Covered Wagon (1923), Don Q Son of Zorro, The Iron Mask, Murder at the Vanities, and The Old Fashioned Way, Its a Gift, Mississippi, Man on the Flying Trapeze and Poppy (five with WC Fields).
