Can't sleep (fuck you, anxiety) so I'm thinking about the fact how Robby cannot sleep in silence. And it makes me mad as fuck the more I think about Hastings' comment to Dana about him having the TV on in his bedroom. Yes, he has the TV on. I wonder why. The man suffers from a complex PTSD, flashbacks, has been feeling suicidal for god knows how long, plus from what I read, having TV on often stems from childhood abandonment issues. So having TV on helps a person feel like they're not alone, it's an obvious coping mechanism. So in all honesty, it's good that of all people, Hastings said that to Dana, because we know that Dana won't share this with anyone, but quite frankly, Noelle can fuck off.

And it killed me, when Robby offhandedly said 'Unless you want to come with me' knowing full well she'll refuse, but that was his way of saying 'See me, hear me, stop me' (by the way, someone please tell me that I didn't dream Noah saying this somewhere, because I can't find this anymore, but anyway, that hit harder than anything else 😭)

So despite Hastings being a fling, Robby still reaches out, perhaps with an expectation of being rejected, precisely to prove his point of being only good enough for something casual and she does exactly that - prove his point to himself. I know Noah said that Robby's fling with Noelle was kinda half-assed effort at therapy, but I disagree. If anything, this was more of a self-harm behaviour, something that might feel good for a short time, but will hurt more in the long term, proving even more how he only sees himself as being good for one thing (not talking about him being a doctor here) and not worth more effort. Not worth being looked at more carefully, with care, and with perseverance.

Only there is someone who cares. Who is not afraid to follow Robby, despite being rejected and make the effort to get through to him, to help him, to make him want the help for himself. To make him see that he is a person worth loving, even when he is struggling. Of course Jack immediately clocked what Robby was doing with Hastings. The superficiality of that was so obvious.

Anyway, not sure I have a point. Just that the whole Noelle thing was also a sign that Robby was doing bad, but perhaps subconsciously he was still looking for some kind of connection, and yet her violating his privacy threw this right out the window. Robby, please spend more time with people who genuinely love you and want you to get better. Looking at you, Jack and Dana.
