Its Saturjade for @jade-week! Today the prompt was au! I’m a big fan of Alice in Wonderland and the things based on it so I decided to draw Jade in Wonderland! :D
Jade’s tongue pressed against her cheek as she placed down the package on her dining table, she hadn’t ordered anything, at least that she could remember. Her nails tapped against the box, was this some sort of death threat SM had sent? She’d only been back in China for a month and already they probably hated her.
Opening the box, Jade’s eyes went wide as she picked up the smaller box in the package. It was a laptop and a phone, the latest brands and models as well. These had to be worth a lot of money, did it get mixed up in a parcel? She checked the receiver name again and her name was in the printed letters.
As she fumbled with the package box, a piece of paper slipped out. Jade picked up, opening the envelope, she narrowed her eyes as she pulled out the piece of paper. Written in Mandarin were the words:
Have you thought about it yet, princess?
Stomping into the building, Jade walked straight past the receptionist who tried to follow her. Sadly, sneakers won against heels in terms of speed. She walked to the recording studio, pushing the door open and glared at the male.
Smirking, Tao looked up before he looked at the box in Jade’s hand.
“You got my gift,” Tao smirked.
“Take it back,” She held it out to him.
“Why?” Tao stood up, dismissing the receptionist, “You need a computer and phone, right? You want to make music, I think these will help,”
Jade pursed her lips, “I will afford my own electronics,”
He laughed softly at her reaction, it was cute how determined she was to prove that she was tough. It was like watching a cat trying to be a lion, Tao found it utterly amusing.
“How much money do you have left from SM?” He asked, “I can’t imagine it’s a lot,”
Well, she was stuck there. Jade was surviving on the last of her savings right now, SM hadn’t paid her too much after all, it wasn’t something she could sue over. The earning where all split between the members as well as going towards the training debt. The stupid training debt..
“That doesn’t matter-“
Tao crossed his arms, “If you sign a contract with me, you’ll get royalties like this, ask for anything and you’ll be able to get it, no rules just make music for us,”
“Are you trying to sugar baby me?” Jade asked.
“Well, if that’s the label you want to put on it,” Tao laughed, “I can be your sugar daddy,”
No, no no. Jade wasn’t sure how to feel about those words, it wasn’t an uncomfortable feeling but definitely a new one. She wanted to make music, ever since she was younger it had been her dream, that’s why she’d first joined SM. Her love for music had brought her to another country, dragged away from family.
Getting some free stuff along the way, it wasn’t too bad. Company pros, that’s what she could class it under. It’s not like her and Tao where doing anything together.
“Fine,” Jade mumbled.
“Accepting me as your sugar daddy?” Tao grinned.
Jade stamped her foot, “No! I’ll sign a contract with you, I want to make music,”
“That’s all I wanted to hear,” He smiled, “Let’s go sign some paper, princess,”
Princess. God, Jade felt like she was going to despise that nickname eventually.
