Summary- Jake, the top soccer player at UNI, always relied on Y/N’s support—until a huge argument left him distracted before a big game. Without her in the stands, he struggled to play, missing shots and worrying his team. Realizing how much he needed her, a teammate called Y/N, who debated but ultimately showed up, looking her best. The moment Jake saw her, his focus returned, and he played like himself again. After the game, they made up, proving that Y/N was truly his lucky charm.
“You don’t get it, Y/N!” Jake’s voice was sharp, frustration thick in every word.
“Then explain it to me, Jake! Because right now, it feels like I’m the only one trying.” Y/N’s arms were crossed tightly over her chest, her voice shaking between anger and hurt.
Jake let out a humorless laugh, running a hand through his hair. “You think I don’t care? That I don’t appreciate you?”
Y/N exhaled sharply. “Jake, I’ve been to every single game, every late-night practice, every stupid press conference where they ask you the same questions. And not once have I ever complained.” Her voice broke slightly, but she pushed on. “But the second I bring up how I feel, I’m the bad guy?”
He opened his mouth, but no words came out. The look in her eyes—raw and filled with unshed tears—made his chest tighten.
“I can’t keep doing this if you don’t want me here, Jake.”
His stomach twisted. That wasn’t what he wanted at all. But his stupid pride got in the way, and instead of telling her the truth—that he needed her more than anything—he muttered, “Maybe it’s better that way.”
The second the words left his lips, he wanted to take them back.
Y/N’s face fell, her jaw tightening as she nodded slowly. “Okay.”
And just like that, she turned and walked away.
Jake stood frozen, watching her disappear into the night.
He had just made the biggest mistake of his life.
-
The silence between them was louder than anything Jake had ever experienced.
Y/N hadn’t texted. Hadn’t called. Hadn’t shown up to practice.
Jake told himself he was fine. That he could focus better without distractions. But when game day rolled around, it hit him like a freight train.
He jogged onto the field, scanning the stands on instinct. But the seat where she always sat—third row, left side, just behind the team bench—was empty.
His stomach clenched.
He tried to shake it off as the game started, but his body wouldn’t cooperate. His passes were off. His speed felt sluggish. Every shot he took either hit the post, went wide, or was blocked by the keeper.
The frustration built with every mistake, weighing him down like lead.
The final whistle blew, and UNI had lost. Jake barely heard the post-game speech from his coach, too busy replaying every missed opportunity in his head.
When he got back to the locker room, he didn’t even bother taking off his cleats right away. He just sat there, elbows resting on his knees, staring at the floor.
Jay, his closest teammate, nudged him. “Dude. What’s going on?”
Jake exhaled slowly. “Nothing. Just an off day.”
Jay scoffed. “Nah, man. This is more than that. I’ve never seen you play like this.” He paused. “It’s Y/N, isn’t it?”
Jake didn’t answer.
Jay sighed. “Look, I don’t know what happened, but it’s obvious you’re a wreck without her.”
Jake clenched his jaw. “She’s probably better off.”
Jay rolled his eyes. “Yeah? Then why do you keep looking for her in the stands?”
Jake said nothing.
Jay grabbed his phone. “I’m texting her.”
Jake should’ve stopped him. Should’ve told him to leave it alone.
But he didn’t.
Y/N sat on her bed, knees pulled to her chest, as she mindlessly scrolled through her camera roll. Each swipe brought a new memory, a new reminder of everything she and Jake had been before it all fell apart.
There was a photo of him grinning at her during one of their late-night study sessions, his notes forgotten as he balanced a pencil between his nose and upper lip, trying to make her laugh. She had rolled her eyes at the time, but she could still remember the way her stomach had fluttered when he looked at her like she was the best part of his world.
Another picture—Jake, covered in sweat but grinning like a fool after a big win, his arm slung lazily around her shoulders. She had been laughing, caught mid-cheer, his jersey draped over her like a second skin. She had been so proud of him. She always was.
And then, one of her favorites—a candid shot of them from a lazy Sunday morning. Jake, shirtless and half-asleep, stealing bites of her breakfast as she swatted at his hand, laughing at his shamelessness. His hair had been a mess, his eyes still heavy with sleep, but he had looked at her like she was the only thing that mattered.
Y/N’s chest ached.
She missed him. More than she wanted to admit.
Her fingers hovered over his contact, the familiar urge to text him creeping in. But then, like a cruel reminder, his words echoed in her head.
"Maybe it’s better that way."
She swallowed the lump in her throat, locking her phone. If that was what he wanted, then fine. She wouldn’t be the one to break first.
But then, as if the universe was laughing at her stubbornness, her phone buzzed.
Jay: Jake’s a mess. He needs you. Badly.
Her heart clenched.
She should ignore it. He was the one who pushed her away. He was the one who made her feel like she didn’t matter.
But… if that were true, why was he struggling so much?
Y/N exhaled slowly, staring at her reflection in the mirror. Her expression was unreadable, but her eyes betrayed her, filled with something she wasn’t ready to name yet.
She could walk away. Let Jake figure this out on his own. Prove to herself that she didn’t need him as much as he needed her.
But that was a lie.
Because no matter how angry or hurt she was… she still loved him.
And she wasn’t sure she ever wouldn’t.
With a resigned sigh, she grabbed her jacket and touched up her makeup.
If she was going, she was going to make an entrance.
She headed out the door, her heart pounding.
Jake needed her.
And whether she liked it or not… she needed him too.
-
Jake jogged onto the field, his mind clouded with doubt.
His body felt heavy, his nerves shot. The last few games had been a disaster, and the weight of failure clung to him like a storm he couldn’t outrun. He tried to shake it off, stretching his arms and bouncing on his feet, but nothing felt right.
Then, instinctively, he looked toward the stands.
And everything stopped.
His breath hitched. His heart stuttered.
Y/N was there.
Sitting in her usual spot—third row, left side, just behind the team bench.
Jake blinked, half-convinced he was imagining it. But no, it was real. She was real.
And damn, she looked good.
Her hair was styled just the way he liked, her makeup subtle but stunning. She wore his favorite shade, the one he always said made her eyes stand out, and even from across the field, he could see the way her lips curved in something between challenge and amusement.
She came.
A rush of energy shot through his veins, the kind he hadn’t felt since before she left. His pulse pounded, but this time, it wasn’t from nerves—it was from something deeper, something electric.
His lucky charm had returned.
And just like that, everything clicked back into place.
The whistle blew, and Jake was unstoppable.
Every pass was precise, every shot powerful. He weaved through defenders with the confidence he’d been missing, his movements sharp and deliberate. The frustration that had been drowning him for days melted away, replaced by pure instinct.
And every time he scored, he didn’t look at the scoreboard. He didn’t look at his teammates.
He looked at her.
Y/N sat there, arms crossed, trying to look unimpressed. But he saw the way her lips twitched, the way her fingers tapped against her thigh. She was proud of him—he knew it.
By the final whistle, UNI had secured the win. The crowd erupted in cheers, his teammates swarming him with congratulations, but Jake barely acknowledged any of it.
His eyes were locked on her.
Without a second thought, he sprinted toward the stands, pushing past the crowd. Y/N had already started making her way down toward the field, and when she stopped in front of him, they just stood there, staring at each other.
For the first time in days, Jake could breathe again.
“I was an idiot.” His voice was breathless, raw. “I didn’t mean any of it, Y/N. I was just—” He exhaled sharply, running a hand through his sweat-damp hair. “I was scared. Of how much I need you.”
Y/N raised an eyebrow, arms still crossed. “Yeah? I figured, considering how hard you flopped without me.”
Jake huffed out a laugh, shaking his head. “I deserved that.”
“Damn right, you did.”
A small smile tugged at her lips, but Jake didn’t miss the way her tough exterior wavered, the way her eyes softened just slightly.
He took a step closer. “Y/N, I mean it. I never should’ve pushed you away.” His voice dropped to something quieter, more vulnerable. “You’re everything to me.”
She sighed, finally uncrossing her arms. “Jake… you can’t shut me out when things get hard. That’s not how this works.”
“I know,” he admitted, his gaze never leaving hers. “And I won’t. Ever again.”
Y/N studied him for a long moment, and then, finally, she sighed in defeat. “You’re lucky I like you, Sim.”
Relief crashed over him, and before she could say anything else, he closed the distance, wrapping his arms arowund her and pulling her in tight.
She hesitated for half a second before melting into him, her arms circling his waist.
Jake buried his face in her hair, inhaling the familiar scent of her perfume, and everything felt right again. “I missed you,” he murmured.
“I know,” she teased, voice muffled against his jersey. “I could tell from your embarrassing game stats.”
He chuckled, pulling back just enough to look at her. “Guess I need you to keep me in check.”
“Clearly.”
Jake reached up, brushing his thumb over her cheek, his voice softer now. “So… does this mean you’ll be at the next game?”
Y/N smirked. “As long as you keep winning.”
He grinned, pressing a kiss to her forehead before whispering, “Then I guess I have no choice.”
Because she wasn’t just his biggest supporter.
She was his lucky charm.

Jake had read through every dating rumor ever made about him. Unfortunately, none of them included the one person he was actually dating— you.
You two had been together for nearly a year now, and at first, keeping it a secret was fun. The sneaking around, the subtle glances, the thrill of knowing something the world didn’t. But now? Now it was just frustrating.
Because no matter what you both did to spark a rumor, it always backfired spectacularly.
“Okay, new plan,” you said, sitting across from Jake in the company lounge. “Coordinated outfits at the airport. Fans love that.”
Jake nodded eagerly. “Right! And I’ll hold your bag or something. They’ll eat that up.”
It was foolproof. Or so you thought.
The next morning, the two of you walked through the airport dressed in what you thought was obvious couple attire—matching beanies, similar oversized coats, and sneakers that weren’t identical but clearly complementary.
The result?
“OMG, Jake and Sunghoon are totally twinning again! The best duo!”
Jake nearly dropped your bag when he read the tweet. “You have got to be kidding me.”
You patted his back sympathetically. “It’s okay, babe. We’ll try again.”
The next attempt was an award show.
The plan: Jake would lean over during the ceremony and whisper something to you, something small and intimate-looking. The cameras would catch it, fans would go wild, and boom—dating rumors sparked.
What actually happened: While Jake was busy making sure his whisper looked natural, the camera cut away at the worst possible moment. Then, when the broadcast returned, it showed Jake laughing… next to another female idol.
Cue the internet exploding with a brand-new ship.
Jake groaned as he scrolled through his feed later that night. “I risked getting scolded for PDA and somehow ended up with a whole new love line?”
You, of course, found this hilarious. “Maybe they’re trying to humble you.”
Jake slumped against your shoulder. “At this point, I feel like we could kiss onstage, and they’d say I was just being friendly.”
You giggled, running a hand through his hair. “One more try?”
“One more try.”
The final plan was a classic: couple bracelets.
You both wore the dainty, matching bands during a live broadcast, making sure to flash them every chance you got.
You thought you’d finally done it when a fan account tweeted, “Wait, Jake and Y/N’s bracelets… COINCIDENCE???”
Jake held his breath.
Then, the next reply: “Oh, I think Jay has the same one too! Friendship bracelets?”
Jake threw his phone onto the couch dramatically. “I give up.”
You burst into laughter, flopping beside him. “I mean… at least we know we’re together?”
Jake pouted. “Yeah, but where’s the fun in that?”
Despite all the failed attempts, despite the fans unknowingly thwarting your every move, you knew one thing for sure—Jake was yours, and that was all that really mattered.
(Though, you did have one last idea… maybe a ‘leaked’ couple selfie? But that was for another day.)

You and Jake are best friends. You and Jake had been fucking each other the past two months month. It was strictly meant to be pleasure with no strings attached. But now when see him you feel butterflies and your heart races. You might like him.You didn’t want to ruin your bond with Jake so you held back and let things remain the same.
You had come to the pub with Lily and Rose, your best friends. They were somewhere on the dance floor in the crowd. You were with them a while ago when you wanted to grab a drink for yourself. There you met Sunghoon, he was quite handsome, he had piercing brown eyes, with well defined lips. He was quite tall, which just complimented his looks more. You were at the bar when Sunghoon approached you.
“Hi, I am Park Sunghoon. Are you with someone?
“No”
“So,I was wondering if I could have your number?”
“Hi, I am y/n wow champion slow down we don’t even know each other and you want my number.”
“Well, I have been looking at you for a long time.. We could get to know each other if you know what I mean?”
“How about we get to know each other till we are together and then I can give you my number?”
“Sure”
It's been about three hours since you and Sunghoon were talking. You had a lot in common with him. It was quite obvious Sunghoon was flirting with you and you were quite probably enjoying it and answering it back the same way.
Jake had come a while ago since you were here and was looking forward to spending the evening with you. When Jake came in, the first thing he noticed was you flirtin with Sunghoon. Since then Jake has been shooting daggers with his eyes.
You hadn’t noticed Jake had arrived yet or him shooting daggers with his eyes.
Sunghoon leaned in and whispered “wanna leave?”
you nodded.
As we were leaving I saw Jake outside.
“Oml hi Jake when did u reach you should’ve called me”
“ A while ago, who is this gentleman if I may know y/n?”
“Well umm this is Sunghoon, I met him in the bar.”
“Is it?” smiling at him.
Jake snaked an arm around y/n waist and pulled her close kissed her on the cheek”
“What are you doing Jae?”
“What I should’ve done a long time ago.”
“Dude, it was so nice to meet you but i think you should know this is my girl” throwing the fakest smile possible.
“Jeez dude sorry I had no idea.” “nice to meet you y/n” with that last statement Sunghoon left.
“What do you think you were doing?” Jake said.
“What do you mean?? We never had anything going on between us?”
“Let's get back home” Jake held Y/n by her hand and got into the car.”
The drive to their place was quiet and awkward. Y/n was deep in thoughts while Jake was just infuriated at Y/n.
Soon they reached home. No matter how mad Jake was at Y/n.He always was a true gentleman to y/n and always will be. Jake locked the door to the car and held y/n’s hand and went inside their shared apartment.
“Jake, can we talk about what happened at the club?”
Jake immediately crashed his lips onto Y/n’s lips. Jake’s soft plump lips molded against your full lips like a piece to a puzzle. Your back arched against him, as you snaked your hand around neck and held him closer. Jake tilted his head for better access, your and Jake’s tongues tussled together. Jake pulled you closer and traced his hand down Y/n’s body and held y/n by her thighs and lifted her up. Jake took Y/n to the room and laid her down on the bed, their lips not leaving each other for a minute. Jake trailed kisses down Y/n’s neck sucking at her sweet spot. Y/n exhaled at that. Jake knew which spots would make Y/n quiver and which spots would make her cry. Jake’s hand advanced down to Y/n’s thighs caressing her inner thigh while was working upon Y/n’s neck leaving marks all over her. You could feel Jake’s hand tracing soft circles on your inner thigh as you squirmed under him.
“Jae please~~”
“Please wha say it say it”
“Please”
“Please what baby? Could Sunghoon have had you squirming under him, when i barely even touched you?”
“Please jake”
“As you wish princess”
Jake hand went to your intimate area tracing soft circles on it. You let out a soft gasp at the sudden contact with Jake’s calloused hands with your sensitive area.He was tracing circles on the soft flesh. I uttered out a soft moan at his continuous teasing. Jake entered one of his digits inside your entrance. You let out a moan. Jake entered another one of finger and started moving them at a fast pace. You screamed at the sudded pace.
“Gawd so wet for me”
All you could do was lay under him and squirm as he moved his digits in and out of you.
“Can Sunghoon fuck you like me? Does he know your body like me? Does he fucking know what can make you go mad?”
The sensation of his fingers inside you was maddening you wanted to kiss him
“Oh my god Jake” Jake started moving his fingers at a faster pace as he moved his fingers at a quick pace. As you felt your climax nearing you. Jake pulled out his fingers.
“Jake” you whined
“Nuh uh you aren’t cumming until I allow you to”
“Please baby, Jaeyun”
Jake unzipped your dress and threw it somewhere in the room. As you brought your hands down to your sensitive so that you can finish. Jake held your hands and pinned it upwards on the bed and tied it with a tie.
“Jake please.”
“No”
Jake started kissing down your neck to your chest. He latched his mouth onto one of your nipples and used his hand to satisfy the other. You let out a loud moan.
“Jake please” at this point you don’t even know what you're begging for as pleasure takes over you.
“Please what honey words I need words .”
“Please let me touch you” you whined
“Mhm”
Jake slowly moved down to your pussy trailing soft kisses down as he went down there.
You let out another moan out of pleasure. Jake moved down to your cunt. Placing soft kisses on it. Jake’s tongue entered your cunt and you let out a scream.Jake twirled his tongue around literally making out with your pussy.
“Jake, yes right there oh my god Jake yes right there”
Jake fastened his pace with his mouth as he felt your climax approaching.
“Yes baby, become undone for me.” That was the final straw as you became undone all over his mouth. Jake moved his mouth to yours and kissed you harshly. You started unbuttoning Jake’s shirt as you kissed down his neck. Jake started undoing his pants.
“Jae please”
Jake lined his cock at your entrance.
“Baby kiss me” and you latched your lips onto his kissing him with all your strength. Jake kissed back with that same passion.
Jake slowly entered his cock into ypur cunt. He let you adjust to his size before he started moving. “Gawd so tight baby so tight. You feel so good omg." Your eyes roll back at the sensation of him inside you. You let out another loud moan. Jake moved in and out at a faster pace.
“Could Sunghoon fill you up with his cock like I do? Could sunghoon make your eyes roll back like I do?? Could Sunghoon make you scream like you??”
You nodded letting out another loud moan as he pounded into you.
“Remember Y/n No one knows your spots like I do.No one can make you feel this good Sunghoon won’t make you feel this good.” Jake pounded onto you again. Your nails bruising his back.
‘YOU.” “ARE.” “MINE.” Jake felt your climax approaching as he fastened his pace.
“Jake” you screamed as you cummed all over his cock.
“Oh my god princessa you feel so good.” Jake pulled out and pumped a few times before he cummed all over your stomach and collapsed on top of you.
When Jake kissed you this time it wasn’t hunger or lust or desire. It was love, passion and warmth.
“Are you okay baby?” You nodded. “Was I too harsh on you honey I am sorry.”
“No its fine”
“Baby come on let's get you cleaned up okay honey and then go to bed I am going to set up a bath for you okay honey?”
You nodded.
Jake went to the bathroom and started setting up the bath. He used your favorite rose bath bomb, added rose petals and set the water warm just as you like.
“Princess, the bath is ready.” “Come on, let's go” Jake picked you up as he tucked one arm under your knee and the other behind your back. He put you in the bath and went in the bath with you.
“Baby I am sorry if I was so harsh with you. It's just that it makes me angry to see you with anyone else.”
“It's fine Jake, it's okay.” as you leaned on him. He slowly petted your head as you relaxed into his touch.”
“I Have something to say to you Y/n”
“Ya jae?”
“I love you. I have had this gigantic crush on you like idk since when it started way before we even started fucking. I don’t want you with anyone else except me. The thought of any other man looking at you like I do seeing you like I do makes me so angry and terrifies me. I just want you to myself. I promise I will never be rude to you. Your smile, it brightens my day if i see it once. Your eyes makes me want to go on a voyage around them. And your personality is just so perfect I have no words for it. The way I could listen to you talk for hours and hours. You have the kindest soul possible and the sweetest person on this planet. I am ready to handle your rude ass side, your nice side, your kiddish side, your horny side. Y/n Please Can I be your boyfriend. I promise to never disappoint you.
It's totally fine if you don’t like me I won’t force you. I'm sorry. But if you do oml”
Tears started welling up in Y/n’s eyes.”omg jake your so sweet. Of Course I love you. It is so sweet of you. Omg Jake.”
“You do? Omg Y/n I love you.” Jake started grinning ear to ear. “I am going to go change our sheets and get you a tshirt. Okay baby lay here more. Do you want to eat something although it's 4 but whatever you want.”
“It's fine, I don't want anything.” Jake kissed y/n’s forehead and got up. He spreads the bedsheet. Gets out his T-shirt for you.
“Baby are you done? Can we go to bed?”“Ya lets go I am done.” With that Jake picked you up. “You know I can walk right?”
“I know you can but you're my princess and you deserve it.” “here's your T-shirt”
“I love you” Y/n wears the t-shirt given by Jake and lays down. Jake comes and lays down with y/n.
a.n.: Guys, this is my first time writing a sequel, so I’m very excited and I rlly hope you like it !!! >.<
Also, this is gonna be a love triangle between y/n, Jake and Jay, so this is gonna be a Jake and Jay fanfic at the same time! But I’m not gonna say who she’s gonna end up with…don’t be sad pls if it didn’t end the way you wanted it to. (There’ll be smut and fluff with both of em separate, dw !! )
I also don’t know how many parts I’m gonna write but I guess it’s gonna be between 3-6, idk yet.
“What if I fail…” you said, looking up at Jay who was leaning back, both his AirPods in his ears.
He immediately took one out, leaning a bit forward just so he could look down at you, your look saying nothing but worry.
You were laying on Jay’s lap on one of many benches that could be found on the big campus of your current music and arts college, the two of you were attending to.
“Are you kidding? I thought we talked about that a thousand times,”
he said, furrowing his brows.
You said nothing, but instead, you stared into the big treetop of one of many Dogwood Trees which was towering over the little bench both of you were sitting on.
They are beautiful, you thought, changing nothing about the fact that your head was already hurting because of all the worry concerning your music class. Though you really loved music, you just didn’t have any talent when it came to actually coming up with something new.
Your majors were all about arts but you unfortunately had to take a music subject as a minor in order to have enough hours on your schedule.
Jay was already leaned back again, still looking at you and waiting for an answer.
“I offered you my help a thousand times sweetheart, either you take it or not. Stop making things so complicated,” he said, talking in a more ironic tone.
You raised your head a bit, only to turn it a bit to the side and lay it back down again. You started staring at him intensely, almost making him nervous.
Jay cleared his throat and asked, “maybe I should get us some food, what’d ya want, hm?”
You bit your lip while rolling your eyes.
“You decide,” you said, getting up, Jay smirking at you.
Your eyes followed him, a little smile plastered on your face.
You really liked him.
As your best friend of course.
The two of you met back then in high school, when he had bumped into you at the graduation ceremony, causing your whole outfit to be covered in wine.
Even though he hadn’t been attending your school back then and was only someone else’s friend, you both quickly got along perfectly and sooner or later you even applied to the same college.
It was your 4th semester now and everything went well so far, except for your music exams. You hated it.
And the worst thing was that they got even worse every semester.
You sighed, taking your sketching pad out of your back, wanting to put these negative thoughts about your final exams away.
Just as you were about to continue sketching on your recent sketch,
someone sat beside you, pressing their whole body pretty close to yours.
“Very impressive! Y/n, right?”
You looked up at the, now, clearly male person.
Jake.
A disgusted look was all you gave him because you hated the way he always tried to get along with everyone, no matter what it would take.
After nodding a few times because of your sketch, he locked his eyes with yours, smirking and asking, “What? You didn’t miss me?”
You hesitated for while, the fact that he was only centimeters away distracting you, turning away and saying, “What’d ya want Jake?”
“I dunno. I just thought that you could maybe help me out with something”
You looked at him again, furrowing your brows and thinking about what he might need.
“As you might know, I’m reaaally bad at drawing and sketching in general. And as I’m the complete opposite of you, I was wondering if you could maybe help me out with all these seminars and in return, I’ll help you with your music ones”
You look at him again for while, a wide grin plastered on his face.
“C’mon y/n,” he said, coming even closer when suddenly someone yelled,
“Piss off Shim!”
Jay was about to approach him, even though he had some bags of food in his hands, willing to drop them if he had to.
Jake smirks at you and gets up, making a few steps backwards while saying, “Think about it!”
Just after he jogged away, Jay let himself down on the bench again, cursing about what just happened.
“That little bastard, what did he want?”
“I dunno, I guess he wanted some help for his current drawing project”
“Tss, why doesn’t he ask one of his hoes?”
“Jay!” you said after letting out a chuckle, “It’s okay, I swear,” he looked at you, laughing as well.
“Sorry, it’s just that I can’t stand him, ya know?”
“Same goes for me,” you said thinking about him again.
Unlike Jay, Jake was actually in the same high school you were in.
He was always the popular guy, seeking for attention anytime he could and he still was.
Only difference being that the two of you were a couple.
Nothing serious to be honest.
It didn’t even last a month after ‘it’ was over.
It was a bet to be exact.
You had a really long lasting and bad crush on him back then and no one knew, until one of your friends back then told it everyone so almost the whole school knew.
Jake and his friends took it as a game to bet if he’d actually be able to sleep with you within a week.
Did it happen?
-No.
Did you want it to happen?
-Yes.
Bad thing for him and his friends was that they had a bad reputation when it came to girls, and so, you kind of knew what he wanted when he suddenly approached you out of nowhere after everyone knew you had a crush on him.
Thus, he was always very close to achieving his goal but you always backed up and came up with an other excuse that could possibly prevent him from actually having sex with you.
He ended things after that one month and so, you never really talked again.
And that’s basically how the story ended - that you didn’t even tell Jay about - so why was he acting as if nothing happened only three years later? And why did he even have to attend to the exact same university you were attending to?
‘That’s…not important,’ you thought to yourself, opening the little bag of crisps Jay just gave you after coming back to reality.
“Are you sure you’re not going tonight?”
“Nah, still got a lot of work I gotta finish. But what about you? Are you actually attending that shit? I don’t know you like this y/n”
“Like what?” you asked on purpose.
“You hate partying, especially when it comes to college parties. So why’re you going?”
He was right. You hated it but you just needed some…,
“…distraction,” you said.
Jay was silent for a second, seemingly thinking about it.
“It’s okay. Just call me if something’s wrong or if you need a ride home”
“Of course I will!” you said while pushing his shoulder away, a wide grin now plastered on his face.
You couldn’t lie, you were a bit excited and curious about what would happen tonight, but then again you also didn’t like the thought of going alone and you weren’t really in the mood for actually partying and drinking alcohol.
“Never mind,” you said while sighing and laying your head on Jay’s shoulder.
He abruptly stopped eating and looked at you, “What?” his mouth audibly full with food.
You did nothing but smiling and coming a bit closer to his shoulder, Jay continuing on eating with a hint of confusion on his face.

If there was one constant in your life, it was control. You thrived on order, schedules, and structure. You were the reliable one, the problem-solver, the person who always had a plan. That is, until Jake Sim crashed into your perfectly managed world like an unrelenting storm.
It started at work, where you first met him. He was a new hire, brought in by your boss who swore he was a genius despite his… tendencies. The first week alone, he set off the fire alarm—not once, but twice. The first time, he microwaved his coffee with a spoon still inside. The second? He somehow managed to spill an entire cup of instant ramen onto the office printer, which, for reasons beyond logic, resulted in sparks and a minor panic.
You had to explain to the fire department both times that no, it was not an actual emergency, and yes, it was the same person responsible.
“I swear I was just trying to print my expense report,” Jake had defended, flashing you a sheepish grin as if that would erase the chaos he had caused.
“You what?” You had pinched the bridge of your nose, exhaling sharply. “Why were you eating ramen next to the printer in the first place?”
“It was a multitasking experiment.”
“It failed.”
But the thing with Jake was, no matter how exasperated he made you, you couldn’t stay mad at him. Because as much trouble as he caused, he somehow always managed to drag you into it, too.
Like the time he roped you into helping him cook.
“I don’t know why you agreed to this,” you muttered as you stood in his kitchen, arms crossed while he rummaged through his cabinets. “You burn toast. Toast, Jake.”
“That’s an exaggeration.”
“Is it? Last week you set the break room toaster on fire.”
“That was an accident!” He looked at you with the most innocent expression, and you had to fight the urge to smile. “Besides, this time, I have you. You’re responsible. You can supervise.”
Supervise, it turned out, was an understatement. Because thirty minutes later, he had somehow flung sauce onto the ceiling, nearly sliced his finger cutting vegetables, and, in a grand finale, almost knocked over the entire pot of pasta while attempting to “save” a single noodle that had slipped onto the counter.
You had barely managed to grab his wrist in time, yanking him back before disaster struck.
“Are you trying to burn your apartment down?” you groaned.
Jake just laughed, his eyes bright with amusement as he looked down at where your hand was still gripping his wrist. “Nah. If anything, I’d say I’m making your life a little more exciting.”
That was the problem. You were starting to realize that maybe you didn’t hate the chaos he brought. Maybe you liked it more than you were willing to admit.
Maybe you liked him.
And that was dangerous.
You told yourself you were just looking out for him, that’s why you always came running to fix whatever mess he got himself into. But then there were moments—small, fleeting moments—that made you question everything.
Like when he’d grinned at you after that near-kitchen disaster, like you were the best part of his day.
Like when he’d brushed a stray strand of hair behind your ear absentmindedly, as if he did it all the time.
Like now.
It was late, and you had found yourself once again in Jake’s orbit, this time because he had texted you I need help with no context. You had rushed over, only to find him staring at his laptop with the most defeated expression.
“I deleted the entire project file,” he admitted. “Like, it’s gone.”
You sighed, sitting down beside him and pulling the laptop towards you. “You know, one day, I’m going to let you suffer the consequences of your own disasters.”
“No, you won’t,” he said confidently, propping his chin on his hand as he watched you work. “You like me too much.”
Your fingers froze over the keyboard. Your heart did too.
You turned to glare at him, but he only smirked, leaning in slightly.
“You do,” he teased. “You always come running, no matter what kind of mess I make.”
“That’s because you’d literally die without me.”
“True.” He grinned, but there was something softer in his eyes now. “But also because you care.”
Your breath caught. He wasn’t wrong. You did care. And you were realizing, maybe, just maybe, you weren’t just putting out his fires.

Summary: He had chosen another.
Her voice, taken by the sea in exchange for legs, never returned to her. Even when the spell cracked. Even when her heart did. She fell back into the sea with her pain wrapped around her like chains, and there, she changed.
Pairing: Prince Jake X Fem reader
Curious and bright, she danced with dolphins and chased rays of light through kelp forests. Her voice carried like wind over water, full of longing, soft as seafoam. She dreamed of the world above, of books read in secret currents and love songs caught in bottles. When she saw a ship for the first time, her heart lodged itself in her throat like a tide-stuck shell.
She saw him then — the prince.
He stood at the helm of a ship gilded in gold, laughing with a voice that reached even beneath the waves. He was beautiful in the way storms were beautiful. Wild, proud, impossible to touch. She watched him for days. When the sea turned cruel and tore the ship apart, she was the one who saved him. She pulled him to shore and sang life back into him, her voice stitching breath into his lungs.
He never opened his eyes.
Still, she loved him.
She made a deal.
To walk on land, she gave up her voice. Not to the sea witch — she became her. Magic answered pain, and her silence was a sacrifice. She walked on burning legs to reach him, bled quietly for days, believing that love would recognize her even without words. But when he looked at her, he did not see the girl who saved him. He saw a stranger. A curiosity. A guest at his engagement feast.
He had chosen another.
Her voice, taken by the sea in exchange for legs, never returned to her. Even when the spell cracked. Even when her heart did. She fell back into the sea with her pain wrapped around her like chains, and there, she changed.
She was no longer a girl.
The ocean named her something new.
The Drowned Queen.
She ruled the deep with fury, commanding storms and wrecks like a second skin. Her kingdom was built from sunken ships, crowned with broken promises and bone. The same magic that once stole her voice now answered to her completely, twisted by the grief that fueled her. Yet even as centuries passed in shadow, her voice never came back. It was the one thing she had never reclaimed.
Until the ocean gave her a reason.
He came in with a shipwreck, clinging to driftwood, blood on his brow and foam in his mouth. His breathing was shallow. His body trembled with the cold. She stood over him, water swirling around her ankles as the sea laid him at her feet like an offering.
He looked like the prince, but younger. Gentler. His brows were knit even in sleep. When he stirred, he whispered something she hadn’t heard in years.
“Are you real?”
She blinked. “You can hear me?”
Her own voice startled her.
It hadn’t returned when the spell ended. Not when she screamed her rage into the deep, nor when she whispered curses into waves. But now, faced with this broken man — this echo of the one who ruined her — something ancient stirred in her chest, and her voice, her voice, had come crawling back from the depths.
The man looked up at her, dazed but smiling. A simple nod following.
She should have let the sea take him. Let the current wrap around his lungs and drag him down like it had so many others. But she didn’t.
She took him in.
His name was Jake. He was not a prince, but a sailor. The younger brother of a king. Of him.
At first, she thought the ocean had brought him to torment her. Another illusion. Another reminder. But Jake was not like his brother. He asked questions, yes, but listened to the answers. He treated her realm not like a prison, but a place with stories worth learning. He followed the song of whales and wandered sunken gardens without fear. And he never asked her to be more than what she was.
“You saved me,” he told her one evening, seated on a ledge of smooth coral while silver eels danced past them in the dark. “I was thrown from the ship during the storm. I thought it was over. But I heard a voice. Not words — just... sound. Like it wanted me to live.”
She said nothing. But she remembered the song. It had left her mouth without her realizing it. Her voice had returned that day, and it had chosen him to carry it.
He made her laugh once. She didn’t remember how. Only that it sounded like something soft breaking open in her chest. She didn’t know she still could.
Still, part of her waited for betrayal.
And it came — not from him, but from above.
A fleet sailed across her waters, bearing the crest of the royal family. Her family. His family. The prince had come again, though he no longer wore the face she remembered. Age and guilt had lined it. But power still clung to his shoulders.
He wanted the sea back.
Wanted her gone.
When she rose from the ocean, her presence cracked the sky. Lightning forked behind her. Water writhed like serpents around her arms.
Jake stepped in front of her.
“Let me speak to him.”
Her power surged, thick with memory. “He left me to die.”
Jake’s voice didn’t tremble. “And I’ll never forgive him for it. But you’re not the same girl. And he’s not the same man.”
She looked at Jake. Really looked. He had drowned once, years ago, diving into the waves when his brother chased a voice that wasn’t meant for him. She remembered now. He had followed, trying to stop the prince from betraying her, only to disappear in the undertow. She had wept for him without knowing his name.
And now, here he was again, trying to save her.
She let the storm calm.
Let the waters fall still.
The prince came forward. His knees hit the sand. His eyes didn’t meet hers.
“I was young. I was selfish. I thought I could control the story. But I ruined it. I ruined you.”
She didn’t reply.
She had no interest in forgiveness.
Only freedom.
The sea shifted, restless and unsure. Jake reached for her hand. She let him.
They stood together, unbowed.
And when the ships left — not victorious, but humbled — the sea exhaled.
Back in the quiet of her palace, where fish glowed like starlight and the silence no longer weighed heavy, Jake turned to her.
“Will you ever leave this place?”
She looked out at her kingdom. Her voice had returned. Her rage had softened. Her scars remained — but so did she.
“This is my place,” she said. “But it doesn’t have to be empty.”
He nodded, and he stayed.
Not as a prisoner. Not as a prince. But as a man who chose to dive into the deep and never once asked her to surface.
They say the Drowned Queen still rules the ocean.
But now, the sea sings back.
And sometimes, if the tide is right, you can hear laughter echo between the waves.
