Mar’ek: “I’ll be the responsible one and step between them now and save us the trouble.”
Alpha-17: -_- “Unfortunately we can’t get you out just yet. Doc says you have to stay here another couple of days.”
*Fordo and Spar fall to the ground still wrestling and arguing*
Sull: “Sorry vod.” :/
Tavo: “We promise to come visit you and keep you updated on the good gossip.”
99: “What do you mean I can’t leave yet?! This is bullshit!”

Aven: “Whoah!”

Alpha-17: “Come to think of it, I don’t believe I’ve ever heard 99 swear. I’m impressed.”
Spar: *getting off the ground and dusting himself* “I hate you all. Don’t know why I bothered to come back.”
Jangotat: “You guys have no bedside manner or inside voices.”
A-17: “And your idiots.”
99: “This is bantha osik! Get out and don’t come back till i can leave you traitors!”

The funniest thing about Spar being Mandalore is that you know the rest of the Alphas are just, “No, you aren’t. You’re our dumbass brother, drop it.” They are incapable of taking him seriously.
Spar: I’ve taken the name Mandalore the Resurrector.
Maze: Pay your fucking taxes.
Fordo: Show me the Darksaber, then win a duel against Windu.
Alpha: Drop dead.

I’m currently reading The Cestus Deception for the very first time (and yes, I know how it ends) and I have to say, it does have its slow moments, but Nate’s character development totally makes up for it. And I really do love that even though he is very immersed in his life as a soldier in the GAR for the first half of the book, he still has that ARC sass.
