Sleeping Wyvern, Wands by Violetta
Sleeping Wyvern: A time in your character’s life where something happened they couldn’t explain.
“Everything can be explained through God’s Grace or God’s wrath, even the seemingly unexplainable, good and bad. If something happens that you believe is unexplainable, I’d challenge you to look to God for answers. He will provide for those who ask.”
Wands by Violetta: An experience your character had with dark magic.
“I’ve been fortunate enough not to face such darkness myself. I’ve seen what it can do, through my brother, though, and I pray that he never faces anything like that again. Although, I’m more than confident I can overcome any dark magic we might face together. That’s why I’m here, after all.”
AWBN, Quintana Wands
AWBN: A time your character didn’t listen to what they were told.
In his early days as a recruit, Jonathan wouldn’t always agree with the instructions he was given. He would often sneak off on his own or push something so far to wrap up a mission quickly.
One day, he made the wrong call. He and his partner were tracking an old Grindelwald fanatic who had been terrorising the muggle population. They had tracked him down to an abandoned warehouse.
When they arrived, they were ambushed by three other dark wizards. It ended up in a duel. Jonathan was told to focus only on two. But, when two were down and his partner was locked in a fierce duel with the third dark wizard, he aimed for the Grindelwald fanatic only to be attacked by the dark wizard his partner was duelling.
He looked down at his right arm and noticed a large, deep mark from just below the shoulder to the joint in his arm. It bled heavily and due to the loss of blood, caused him to pass out.
By the luck of Merlin, he survived. His partner was an experienced Auror and therefore managed to finish the last two off himself. He had stopped the bleeding in his arm but there was some kind of dark curse around the wound. He was taken to the closest healer establishment and spent the next week inside the hospital.
Quintana Wands: A time you had to use force in a case.
On the 18th of October, 1951. Jonathan and his partner were called to investigate a possible domestic abuse case within a small community in Harlem. Upon reaching the house, they noticed that they couldn’t get into the building, due to some kind of protection charm over the house.
Jonathan used force on the spell the second he heard a child from inside the building start to cry. He broke through the charms barrier and rushed in to try and find the source of the cry, praying that they were okay.
Moaning Maiden, Wands by Violetta
Moaning Maiden: Describe a moment when your character had to bend the rules.
During a case back when she was a cadet, Larrisa found herself pursuing someone she knew was guilty-but because they had friends in the right places, they were ‘untouchable’. She and her partner took that as a personal challenge. The culprit was a thief-and a damn good one. They rarely left any evidence behind and because their ‘friends’ would tell them when Larrisa and her partner got close, they managed to fence their goods before they could be caught. After months of trying to handle things the conventional way, the pair eventually resorted to the good ol’ ‘planted evidence’ trick and managed to catch their culprit in a situation they couldn’t take their way out of.
While it isn’t her proudest moment as an Auror--the ends justified the means and she has learned to live with that.

Jonker’s Wands: What kind of wand your character carries, and where they purchased it.
answered
Fizzy-Pop Shoppe: What your character does in their down time.
“I do read a lot. It’s not enough to go to the Academy and to work, you must always keep yourself updated and informed if you want to do anything worth people’s time. I also paint quite a bit, but that’s more like a hobby that has no future at all. It’s still rather relaxing and pretty much ideal when I’ve had a stressful day.”

Jonker’s Wands: What kind of wand your character carries, and where they purchased it.
11.5 in. cypress wand, with a snallygaster heartstring core. Snallygasters are dragon-like creatures found in the Americas. They are best known for being naturally curious and for having a bulletproof hide. Daniel and his family purchased this wand from Shikoba Wolfe Fine Wands in the summer before he started at Ilvermorny. Like many wands made by Shikoba Wolfe, Daniel’s is adorned with intricate carvings, namely the wolf’s head that is carved into its grip, representing his familial name of Lobo, or “wolf” in the English language.
Market: Your character’s favorite foods.
Daniel was three when his family immigrated from Venezuela to the United States. Although they’d moved away from the country physically his parents still kept its culture as an integral part in their home. Part of this was through the meals his mother and grandmother would cook, often with Daniel nearby both helping and making things that much more chaotic in the process. Despite being an absolute headache for both women, the time he shared in in the kitchen with them gave Daniel a love for food from his Latin American roots. Some of his favorite dishes are arepas, hallacas, and fried plantains, which he tries to find the time to cook every once in a while.

what your character used their first paycheck on.
The bulk of Cal’s first paycheck went to getting a tattoo – the large ram’s skull on her shoulder blade, tattooed with magic ink so that, depending on the season, seasonal foliage grows in and around the skull’s horns and through it’s mouth. In the spring, it’s wildflowers; in the summer, lilies; in the autumn, oak leaves in rich oranges and yellows, and a sunflower; and in the winter, a few bare twigs and a cluster of holly berries. She has a few other tattoos that she’d gotten beforehand, but this one is her biggest and the one that means the most to her.
a headcanon involving transfiguration.
Cal’s mother is a talented transfigurist, and was the one who taught Cal everything she knows about transfiguration – Cal has vivid memories of the two of them together in the kitchen of her childhood home, working together to choose an item, observe it, and decide what kinds of things its nature lent itself to be transfigured into. They’re some of her best memories, and she’s always appreciated transfiguration as something of an art because of it.
