WET HOT PHANTOM SUMMER

It is my absolute pleasure to announce the first ever Julie and the Phantoms smutweek! What better way to slide into the end of summer than with a smutweek? 

What is a smutweek, you may ask? It’s a week dedicated to creating smutty content, in this case for the JatP fandom! You can read more about this event here!

Wet Hot Phantom Summer will run from August 2, 2021 through August 8, 2021! Check out the schedule and the prompts for each day!

You’re probably wondering what the rules might be? Here are the basics!

Any type of contributions are allowed! This includes fanfiction, fanart, moodboards, playlists, etc.

There is no minimum required wordcount for fanfiction, and fanart may be sketches/doodles! We want to encourage participation, so even if you just want to write a little drabble or post a little sketch, you are most welcome to!

All content should be NSFW in nature to some degree! You don’t have to go crazy or get insanely explicit, but since sex is the focal point of this event, your work should reflect that!

You do not have to ‘sign up’ to participate! Just create stuff, post it on the appropriate day, and make sure we’re notified.

Real Person Fiction (RPF) is not allowed! While we personally have no issue with RPF, since the actors involved in the show are underage, writing smut about the actors tips the scales into uncomfortable territory.

All characters involved in the smut must be 16+. You are more than welcome to age up characters higher (i.e., college AUs), but fics where the characters are their canon ages is accepted.

Ship hate, kinkshaming, or other misbehavior will not be tolerated! We welcome all ships, all kinks, and all creators with open arms.

We’ve got a month before posting starts, to allow for plenty of time to create stuff!

Similar to our call for beta readers, we now have a call for sensitivity readers!

Huge thanks to @wadewaits for bringing the idea to our attention. It totally slipped our minds when we set up this blog! Wade has offered to help out with those seeking a sensitivity reader for fics regarding transmasc experiences, which is lovely!

Inspired by that, we wanted to extend a formal call to a wider pool of potential sensitivity readers!

What is a sensitivity reader?

Some of you may already be familiar with what that is, but we wanted to answer the question for anyone who isn’t!

A sensitivity reader is someone brought in to read and assess something with a particular issue of representation in mind. Sensitivity readers can help eliminate stereotypes, bias, potentially harmful content, and false information or inaccuracy.

For a smut week like this, sensitivity readers can be hugely helpful for anyone writing outside their personal worldview. This includes, but is not limited to:

Cisgender people writing smut about transgender characters.

This might also include non-cis people writing about gender identities other than their own. 

Straight people writing smut about queer characters.

This might also include things like lesbians writing about gay men, or non-straight people writing about sexualities other than their own. 

White people writing smut about POC characters.

This also includes non-white people writing smut about POC characters when the races differ from their own. 

And the list goes on!

No one is required to have a sensitivity reader for this event if they choose not to. However, we wanted to make it as easy as possible for people to find them if they needed them!

Here’s how it’ll work:

You can also send in an ask with your request, and we’ll post it for people to find! 

Those who are game to be sensitivity readers can reach out to people they find on this post.

hi! i didn’t know where exactly to put this so i thought i’d send an ask.

If anybody is planning to write smut including trans male or trans-masculine characters BUT they are cis then I am more than happy to sensitivity read anything that people write!

i understand that wanting to be super inclusive is important (and i 100% appreciate all representation in my good smut) but being accurate and not offending anyone is also super imprtant!

so any writers wanting a transmasc sensitivity reader, feel free to pop into my dms - i won’t judge anything!!

Day One - Masturbation Monday

Here it is, folks! The first day of the first ever Julie and the Phantoms Smut Week! What better way than to start off with some self-loving?

Contributions for today should involve masturbation in some way: whether that’s self-masturbation, mutual masturbation, or group masturbation. All are fair game! If your fic includes other sex acts, that’s fine--as long as the primary focus is masturbation. 

If you’d like, you have the option to anonymously submit, and we will post your contribution for you!
