@_victoriadee and myself did a #collab thing //////// I still remember the ocean breeze caressing your cheek when my lips met yours. How the bonfire crackled, and warmed the sand beneath our feet. We had no thoughts of tomorrow Simply living for today Our time was for a season But the memories will never fade I can't forget how the sun winked while slipping beneath the waves Or how the salty air stung my skin as I watched forever walk away. @writerjaylong ******************************** ******************************** We wrote our silent tears on pressed sunburnt parchment. I realized goodbyes are forever. With each tear, I watched the past disappear with the tide. I prayed each wave would erase the memory like it erased the shore. But it grabbed hold of me Pulling me beneath the riptide. I no longer struggled to keep our love afloat Some things were meant to sink like a buried treasure resting.
