NGL I can’t wait to see more of the dark continent, but Pariston scares the ever loving shit out of me

Lmaooo, well, I'm actually sort of the opposite? Though I'll agree pariston is scary and unsettling. Idk why but pariston is the sort of scary/funny that is so intriguing to me. He's fake and he's a little weasly bitch, but he's also very smart and dangerous. His connection with Ging, who's been built up to be a character everyone wants to know more about, gives a great dimension to both him and Ging himself. It's interesting and he makes a great villain.

But personally I don't care much for the dark continent beyond it being new hxh-- probably because I don't really "get" it? I find very text heavy chapters to be a struggle to get through. And even though people say it's such a complex situation... After I get through the bulk of the text... I'm still left with the feeling that it could usually be condensed into a more concise paragraph, or he's trying to jump ahead and establish more than is reasonable in twenty pages of manga, which also all feels like (at the moment) useless exposition. It's cool that he's thought of all the loopholes for KP's new powers or the political situation and has all the solutions ready, but I'm not a nitpicky person and the long detailed explainations I find... Unnecessary and super slow.

The pacing is so slow, the cast is 90% new characters I haven't gotten a 'feel' for yet because, again, the pace keeps being ground to a halt, most of my favourite characters are gone, and I love KP but he's much better when he's bouncing off leorio or the kids, on his own he's interesting but much less dynamic.

(I also want to point out that, despite not having updated this fic in a very long time, I have not abandoned it. I’m just... slowly trying to get back into it. The SuperBat Week 2020 definitely helped with that, and, again if you are DimensionalDivide, then your comments are making me reread/skim through the chapters and making me want to write an update.)
