AU idea: Narnia but it's the Anne of Green Gables characters. Does anyone see my vision.

Basically the same events as the Chronicles of Narnia except I swap out the characters from our world™ as characters from the Anne series

Jem as Peter, Nan as Susan, Mary Vance as Edmund (maybe in this au she gets adopted by the Blythes?), and Walter or Rilla as Lucy (oof I can't decide!)

Probably going to add Di and Shirley since they should join their siblings

Anne and Gilbert as Polly and Digory. Maybe Mathew is sick and Anne tries to find a cure for him, hence the apple, etc.

Oh, it would be cool if Anne, Walter, and Rilla, being so imaginative, could "see" aspects of the Narnian world in our world™ like living trees, talking animals, and mythical creatures, etc. before even going to Narnia

....i want to somehow add the other Meredith kids too. Or maybe an au where it's just the Merediths: Jerry as Peter, Faith as Susan, Carl as Edmund, and Una as Lucy

rilla ch. 4

onward ho! first thing that stands out to me is Rilla's awe of Irene Howard. i think anyone but Rilla could tell at first glance how shallow Irene is, but Rilla, being the way she is, can't see past the style and aura of affluence she has. really reflective of her ideals at this point.

don't even get me started on Kenneth. all in all though, how can i blame Rilla when even I'M kind of swooning over here?? speaking of, is Ken's age confirmed anywhere? i put him in the ballpark of 18 but now im getting confused. send help

Gertrude Oliver's doom and gloom strikes again, but is partially justified this time. Sigh...

Walter really is the only one of any of the boys who really understands war. Jem and Jerry look at it so flippantly.

Poor Rilla, getting left behind! Watch me shed a few decorous tears for her plight. Really though, how could her brothers just go off and forget her? I do feel bad. And having to deal with Mary Vance on top of that 💀 no wonder she cried.
