jesper + nina friendship

the first time they met the gaydar was absolutely real and kaz was low key shocked to silence when nina immediately slapped jespers ass 

they call each other pet names that get more and more ridiculous the drunker they get 

“hey my little bunny honey pie” “why hello you beautiful snuggly baby cakes” 

and the chaotic bi when they’re both drunk? unreal 

they regularly embarrass kaz at the crow club and jesper gets threatened with the cane more than any enemy gang member when he repeatedly tries to get kaz to dance with them

as they are both sexy and smoke weed, naturally they often have sexy smoking photoshoots that inej is roped in as the photographer for 

being fellow animal lovers they bring back stray cats and dogs all the time 

kaz isn’t even surprised anymore when he comes back to the slat to see a slew of puppies running around 

and proceeds to endure tons of whining as he makes them set them free 

“no one will be intimidated by a house infested with adorable animals, zenik” 

“but... PUPPIES” 

they’re not longer allowed to do jobs just the two of them because even though they’re practically unstoppable together, the extraness makes everything 10x more messy than it has to be

kaz, rubbing his temples as a headache comes on

“was it really necessary to set off a cannon full of glitter as you exited” 

jesper and nina replying in perfect unison

waffle eating contests are a monthly staple, though you know nina wins pretty much every time 

they also have coffee drinking contests and end up downing so much coffee they’re practically vibrating 

along with inej they have matching friendship bracelets that they never take off 

often spend late nights daydreaming about being rich, the parties they’d go to, the gaudy outfits they’d wear, and the huge mansion they’ll live in 

speaking of clothes nina is definitely the culprit of encouraging jespers various outrageous outfits 

their life motto is “why be a boring fucker like kaz when you can be fun and extra”

jesper+nina+inej friendship

seeing as wylan and matthias joined the dregs later and kaz is a friendship buzzkill, these three naturally have the closest little friendship group that goes back years before six of crows and i’m here for it

they obviously get up to nonstop trouble together

inej always gets sucked into it more by accident than anything, mostly because she can never say no when nina convinces her to join them in whatever they’re doing

they have sleepovers quite often at the slat under the disguise of “work nights gone late”

on multiple occasions they have gotten drunk and all kissed each other because bi icons

also they all tried to collectively drunk seduce kaz when he worked late in his office (kaz hit jesper with his cane and sprinted the fuck out of there, none of them remembered what happened but jesper woke up with an unexplained bruise the next morning)

they know each other’s coffee orders by heart and take turns getting each other their daily morning caffeine

(kaz secretly feels left out but he’d never admit it)

they have an ongoing prank where they see how creatively they can scare each other. inej naturally gets them all the time because she can just climb random shit and drop down in front of them or scream “boo” from the ceiling

when they do jobs together they always create elaborate backstories that usually involve them being in a polygamous relationship with a dash of betrayal and dramatics

whenever kaz says something shitty they all just exchange a look that’s code for “this dumb shit just really said that”

monthly support group for talking about their issues and eating their feelings

you know they have a fucking best friend handshake and that shit SLAPS like it’s a two minute complicated mess of perfection and it annoys kaz to no end

(so much of what they do is purely because it annoys kaz to no end and they know they can get away with it because inej is in on it)

they have so many games that are kaz related e.g how many times will kaz look like he wants to die in one conversation, guess what boring outfit kaz is going to wear today, etc

lots of drunk “i love you” “no i love YOU” “well i love you more” “no i love YOU more”

visit waffle places at least once a month to rate them and eventually complete the quest to find the best waffle place in ketterdam
