when the trailer came out, i was, like, oh it’s got that canadian tv filter, this is not gonna be good 😂 i don’t even know why canadian tv looks different from american, but i can always tell, and it’s never good!
Yeah, when I saw the trailer I kept describing it as it has porn quality (I.e. low budget 💀). Generally Canadian TV is so much lower budget, which is why it looks so much different from American TV and has the distinct look you're describing. Even Schitts Creek loll Like the quality is better, but you can tell its low budget bc it has sitcom sets (I.e. the same like 5 sets that they cycle through) and they barely have any extras outside of the casts, and there's a lot of nature establishing shots (plus it's ALWAYS summer) 😂
But yeah! Even tho you can tell the show budget was duct tape and some gum, I'm glad we were both proven wrong. You can really do so much if the passion is there.
