5 Ways to Improve Your Chances on #TextsFromMomTuesday
We’ve all grown to look forward to #TextsFromMomTuesday every week for the last few years. But how can you improve your odds of getting me to share your mother’s neuroses with 30,000 people? Follow along below!
Tips
- Want to get the most retweets or favorites? Crop your submission photos to include relevant parts of the conversation. Sometimes Twitter will show an image preview of your keyboard instead of the conversation. See what I mean?
- I won’t retweet any submissions that include visible phone numbers. Same goes for full names of people other than you or your mother. What you can do: crop out the number and full name or black it out with a photo editing tool.
- Only send one image as a submission. We all have short attention spans and the humor should be immediately apparent. It shouldn’t require multiple screen grabs.
- If the conversation uses emoji characters in unique ways, others are sure to enjoy!
- Think about the context of the conversation. Is it relatable? Will others find it funny? Or is it just an inside joke with your family?
Obvious:
- Your account must set to “public” for me to see your submission. You could tweet me all you want from a private account, but I simply won’t see it.
- Once your account is public, @-mention me (@JewBoyProblems) and use the hashtag #TextsFromMomTuesday to ensure I see your submission
Good luck!
