I unironically view him as Jewish coded, and I feel the only reasons why are because the cooking music kind of sounds Jewish and because Tolkien's Dwarves (which obviously are major influences on all other dwarves that came after) are themselves inspired by Jews (and in a way that's a lot more respectful than you'd think while still not fetishizing them)

my Jewish grandma at dinner:

“Ok so we have wonton soup and sushi and scallion pancakes… and your aunt made a salad. Here’s a fork to serve the sushi…”

“Are you sure just that’s going to be enough for you?”

“the salad’s really good. It’s like peanuts and vegetables. Your aunt made it. We have wonton soup too do you want that?”

“Do you want something to drink? Seltzer? Water? do you want cold water or hot water?”

“Do you want some fruit with your dinner? Chana? Do you want any fruit? We have blueberries, raspberries, strawberries…”

“We got pizza the other night, we have leftovers, do you want some of that?”

“Do you want a yogurt? Do you still eat yogurt?”

“Do you want a bialy? Your aunt brought them over. I could toast you one with some muenster. Or cheddar.”

“Oh and your aunt and cousin made a… what was it? Brownies? Chocolate cake? Do you want some of that?”

“I think we have Ben & Jerry’s in the fridge. Do you want any ice cream?”

“Would you like an apple? Or some grapes?”

“Are you sure you’re full? We have more food if you’re not full.”

Rewatched “You’re Never Too Young” and noticed how fine Jerry looked in the movie. I mean a real hottie!! Also, in the fourth gif, he references “bubbe” Jerry’s pet name for Dean ❤️❤️❤️
