Just realized that Jazzâs birthday is April 3rd. Is it possible for a short story involving Jason preparing a surprise birthday for her, with his goons helping?
âOkay,â Jason said nervously. âIt looks good, right? She shouldnât hate it?â
âIf she hates it,â one of his men said, âI volunteer to be the new Wolf.â
Jason gave him a sour look, not that he wouldâve been able to see it through Jasonâs helmet. His men got the memo though and they all laughed, marveling at the decorations and grandeur of the surprise birthday party Jason had carefully crafted for Wolf.
He hoped sheâd like it. Thoughâ
âDonât you think itâs a bit⊠much though?â Another one of his men said and Jasonâs hopes deflated.
He winced. âWell⊠girls usually like more, right?â
They all gave him a look.
Jason put a hand on his helmet in exasperation. âDo you think we could tear down some of the decorations before Wolf gets hââ
Another one of his henchmen rushed in, slamming open the door. âSheâs here!â She screamed. âHurry, hide! Jerryâs at the gate with her!â
Too late! Everyone scrambled into position. Only Jason stood in the middle of the room, wringing his hands out and cursing himself for some of the choice decorations he made.
What if she didnât like it? What if she hated it? What if she loathed it so much that she killed him? Well, actually, that wouldnât be too badâ
The door opened, cutting off his thoughts and Wolf stepped inside of the dark hide out. She tilted her head at the sight of Jason standing alone in the dark.
ââŠ. HoodâŠ?â
âSurprise!â Everyone burst out of position with confetti poppers and streamers as the lights flicked on.
Wolf reacted in an instant, pulling out her guns and aiming it outwards. Everyone halted in place, frozen at the sight of Wolfâs weapons pointing at them. Jason wanted to smack his head again.
There was a moment of awkward silence before Wolf dropped the guns and then gasped in delight. âOh! You guys! You didnât have to do this!â
The happy atmosphere immediately resumed.
âBoss planned it!â One henchman said, pointing at Jason with an accusing finger.
Jason glared at him before he turned to Wolf, who had her head tilted in delight. âUh. Yeah, I did plan it. Happy Birthday, Wolf. Do you like it?â
âI love it!â She cried before throwing herself onto him. There were some cheers and wolf-whistling (ha!), but all Jason could focus on was Wolfâs weight in his arms and the force of her happiness as she squeezed him. Jason hugged her back just as tightly.
âHappy Birthday, Wolf. You deserve it and more.â
