i don't remember if it's canon so i guess this is a headcanon but i like the idea that J. Jonah Jameson is super inclusive. like he's not racist, not homophobic, not transphobic, he wants Palestine freed, he loves Mamdani, hates the sitting president of the USA, etc etc. but he obviously REALLY hates spider man.

so when spider man comes out as transfem he calls Peter Parker at 2 AM and says "PETER I NEED PICTURES OF SPIDER MAN IMMEDIATELY!!! SHE'S A WOMAN NOW AND WE NEED TO KEEP UP!!! WE COULD HEADLINE IT 'SPIDER MAAM'!!!" and he hears Peter say groggily "actually it's Madeline now, spider man coming out really gave me the confidence i needed to-" and she gets cut off with "oh okay cool we can talk about changing your desk nameplate when you come in tomorrow buT I NEED PICTURES OF SPIDER MAAM OKAY?? GET ON THAT THE MOMENT YOU GET UP!!!!"

Once again thinking about Peter introducing everyone to Miles in a way that accidentally implies Miles is his kid

Being like “Hey, everyone, sorry, sorry, it’s my weekend with the kid” while showing up late to some hero meeting with Miles (everyone’s first time seeing or even hearing about this kid btw) (obviously Miles has his own Spidey suit)

And what he means but no one has the context for is that he only does every other weekend trainings with Miles to not interfere with his schoolwork and social life, but obviously everyone else takes it the other way

Anyways I’m also thinking about JJJ hearing “[his] weekend with the kid” and immediately being like “oh, couldn’t get full custody? 🤨” and just throwing out other comments like that at him

Jameson getting sent to Gotham with Peter and essentially like adopting him and them having a great big heart to heart and Jameson switching tactics of slandering Spider-Man to slandering Batman (and maybe the rest of the gang too just bc he feels like it) bc holy fuck are these vigilantes way worse than what hes ever tried to pin on spider-man.

HOW IS NONE TALKING ABOUT HEADLINE. HOW IS THERE NOT ANOTHER COMIC OF HIM.

I adore this universe, I adore jjj in this, I adore Peter in this, all of it is beautiful.

I'm thinking of writing a fanfic where it's just his origin but in written form. Idk. Maybeee?
