28 June 2026, and we got almost 4 hours of JK live.
No, I haven't managed to watch all three of the lives all through, but gosh jolly, I was there for at least one of the moments I'm gonna be talking about here, and it was super.
You know, I remember reading a Jikook prediction a while back saying that something big will happen in June (I'm not into these predictions, but I gotta tell you that I wouldn't mind for some of them to come true). Well, we're at the end of June and nothing earth shattering has happened just yet, but idk, to me today it felt that once again, if you paid attention to JK, this was definitely a loud one.
Idk how many beers he drank and if and how much he had to drink before the live, but we definitley got a JK who was a little loose. And it was a win for us.
I'm not sure where to start, but I guess I'll start from the once again confirmation that the white iphone is indeed the JK's photo and filming phone. uhm... I mean JK and JM's photo and filming phone.

I don't think it was about any relationship, nor was it about the company or his freedom in that sense... I think it was about his relationship with army. I think he's caught between this sense of wanting to be able to be fully himself with us badly, but also knowing that he can't and that the things he says and does get him backlash and may even hurt people (his fans) because they have certain expectations of him. He's stuck between Idol Jk and human Jk.
What I think directly inspired this talk of his is that he was with his friend and brother. Jk doesn't usually mix his personal friends and his fandom live ofcourse, and I think while doing this live (started because he wanted to share how he was doing.. and because he was having fun) he got confronted with the reality of him having to hold back a lot when he's doing a live. This confrontation became clear because he was with his brother and friend whom he is usually very casual with.. and probably cracking jokes, smoking (for him in the past... wel done on quiting smoking), and cursing. He mentions at one point how his friend and brother were watching him closely while talking to army, seemingly a bit worried about whether he could be casual like that. I think Jk's frustration started there.. when he became suddenly very aware of the divide between his two worlds.. and he just simply would like to merge the two.
He would so love to be able to show the real him and be open. He wants to be able to tell us that he quit smoking, but he knows he can't (though he did) because he will get backlash. He wants to show human Jk. And this is so in line with that one live he did while he was wearing the Wooga ring. Him coming back to this again and again shows me how deeply he wants this.. and it makes me a bit sad, because I don't think he can have it the way he would like.
When his friend and brother leave the room to let him talk with army, the more confusing part of his live starts. He states that he hasn't talked with the company about what he's talking about (or rather wants to talk about), indicating that it's something that's been on his mind. He's frustrated. He loves us and he wants to be honest. He's aware of there being different types of fans within army. My thoughts are that his frustration comes from all the different kinds of pull and direction he gets from army. Everyone has something they want from him. Shippers, solos, ot7s... and no matter what he does there is always some part of army who's dissatisfied. We have seen this play out so clearly ever since he got out of enlistment. But even whith all that.. here is Jk telling us that we are his main motivation for singing and dancing and doing what it is he does. We (army) are irreplacable to him. And it's not that he doesn't have other valuable people and things in his live to make him happy, but army specifically is who drive him to do things. I think what Jk is trying here... though he struggles to communicate it well... is saying he would love for us to just accept him for who he is. He is trying to do this without scolding us (the sensitive part he talks about.. knowing how people react at times) which is why he emphazises our importance.
I don't feel this was about the company, though he does mention them in passing obviously.. but in my opinion it was very much about his relationship with army.
