ⒷⓄⓄⓀ ⓇⒺⓋⒾⒺⒺ Jo and Laurie Writers: Margaret Stohl and Melissa De La Cruz My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Love, Heartbreak, Forgiveness, Family and a happy ending - a perfect classic! This book showed what could've been that didn't happen in The Little Women. What happens when you fall headfirst in love with your best friend, your soulmate. It shows us that even though like any precious metals, love can be lost, it is worth having it- at least once acknowledge it, accept it and embrace it. For love is the one thing that binds us all together in an invisible golden thread. Even if it gets old, it shimmers on the slightest sunlight. Jo and Laurie have been best friends, as long as they can remember. Without thm knowing and everyone else knowing it, they fell in love. When Laurie realised he cannot do anything else without thinking about Jo, he desperately proposed to her. But Jo had her heart break recently- from her dearest sister Beth's death. She buried part of her heart with Beth. Can she trust love again? When she has seen it die first hand? Can she overcome the fear of loving and losing Laurie? I would urge the people who loves Jane Austin, who loved The little women - to give it a try. It is much more enticing if you get to love the characters with their fault lines. #bookreview #joandlaurie #littlewomen #indianbookreviewer (at Kolkata) https://www.instagram.com/p/CKSvBgoHkhf/?igshid=1j60on04tdvba
