Jazz Mango - Joey Pecoraro. Beautiful Jazz Music
Jazz Apricot - Joey Pecoraro. Beautiful Jazz Music
Michigan producer Joey Pecoraro released a tidy two track stunner titled very modestly, "It's Alright". Pecoraro uses his signature sweep of nostalgic beats, and kitschy rhythms to give that much-needed dose of sunshine. "Hug" had me swooning with the simple yet masterful swing of sultry sound. #42 - Joey Pecoraro - To Be Happy
It’s been a while since I have included primarily instrumental tracks on my list, and I wanted to get back to that. I can’t remember how I stumbled upon Joey, but if you’ve ever listened to Pogo or Nujabes, Mr. Pecoraro has cracked the code at fusing their two sampling styles. I listen to a lot of chill, low-fi hip hop beats when I want to relax and this is also the music I try to make as well (SHAMELESS PLUG). Listening to Joey’s work puts me in a world of jazz instruments and old movie clips. The piano break that is repeatedly looped in this track keeps me hooked. It’s charming, and a welcome break from the noise of everything else.

Let this be my anthem for the week.
I love what I do: teaching children, shaping their learning experiences, and supporting their social emotional growth.
But I’ll frankly say that I really love sleeping in as well.
Things accomplished during my break so far: laundry, reading, sleeping.
