Seiko Orange Monster - New video series, "Behind the Dial"
Seiko Orange Monster
Seiko Orange Monster: We are starting a new series it’s called Behind the Dial. What we’re going to be doing is exploring watches that you might be familiar with, some things you might not have heard of, we’re going to talk about different watch types, different watch brands, what makes them special and what to watch out for when you’re buying your own watches.
Today, we’re…

Reaper76Week 2018 || Day 2: “They loved each other” (affection)
Day 1 || Day 2 || Day 3 || Day 4 || Day 5 || Day 6 || Day 7
@lilized: Spoiler alert: Jack is totally Gabe’s favorite.
@ufficiosulretro: Here comes the part in which we find out that Sergeant Reyes has a strategic plan for everything in his life.
While we working on this part we discovered that sticking to the theme of the day wasn’t as easy as we expected. We ended up deciding that the theme “affection” could be fulfilled by bringing the focus on Gabriel’s feelings for Jack. In short, the giant soft spot he has for the guy. Gabe sees the potential, in Jack and in them. Tomorrow’s update and theme are closely connected to today’s because we get to see Jack’s side of the story.
But hey! Crazy omnics are approaching because this comic has some action too, so brace yourselves. U_U
@lilized: P.S. Your reactions to John and Pre-S.E.P Jack have been precious.
My husband, who’s the guy we based John on, is delighted by all your sweet comments. People who don’t know him tend to find him very frightening ‘cause he’s a big man, but, since he’s actually the sweetest person to walk this planet - not that I’m biased or anything - he’s always pretty bummed out by strangers’ wrong impression of him. He was shocked, in a good way, that “his” character was so well received.

He found history rather engaging, but had a tendency to rewrite it. I recall one evening when brilliantly and plausibly, he reconstructed the Civil War...and the South won. You can imagine that Professor Hall did not care for this cavalier treatment afforded his favorite subject. Professor Hall flunked Fitzgerald. He pointed out plausibly that the way Fitzgerald had written history was not the way it had happened. It has taken me forty years to see his point.

@lilized: The long-promised, two-pages action scene!
In which we follow the proud Blizzard’s tradition of throwing Gabriel around, our beloved Sarge tries not to show how much Jack’s daring display made him fall a little bit more, and “Gabe” is born.
We’re going to take a little break from updating during the weekend, but we’ll be back on Monday. We’re sorry we couldn’t respect the daily schedule, but Irene is a hopeless perfectionist who lied to my face when she said: “Of course I’m not going to color it.”
This totally counts, Irene, you cheated. You do not get a pass just because it’s greyscale.
(Though seriously, give her some love, she deserves it.)
@ufficiosulretro: My brain has like… 0% battery right now so I’m just telling you this: I love to challenge myself a lot while having fun with these fan comics, you know, and I’ve probably already said that once, but this time I wanted to create something unusual and deep and cool and great because I feel like working with @lilized really brings out the best from me. I hope you’re enjoying reading this comic as much I’m having fun drawing it. Thanks, everyone. :)
@lilized: Nothing bad will happen to Big John, I promise. He has a dog waiting for him, after all. Picture him on his couch, eating popcorn, watching the feeds on the end of the Crisis, petting a golden retriever and going: “Oh look, Tiny John and Sarge are on tv!”
@ufficiosulretro: That would work as a fantastic epilgue for this comic, you know…
