blade used to be yingxing, a craftsman connected to the high-cloud quintet. dan heng is the reincarnation of dan feng, the former imbibitor lunae. whatever you make of the exact details, their past is personal - dan feng and yingxing were close, so much so that their friend group acknowledged them as a unit, they made forbidden choices together, and the consequences left blade immortal, mara-struck, and unable to let dan heng go. they have one gauntlet/bracer each from a pair, and the relic lore says they have a telepathic connection. the description of blade’s says he remembers the other owner as someone who used a spear, sparred with him, shared drinks with him, and sat with him watching the moon. that’s a lot for two characters the story now presents as enemies. dan heng is trying to be his own person. blade is looking at him through years of half-broken memory. a romance route wouldn’t have to make that simple, it could just let them deal with the fact that the past between them was real, and that both of them are still wearing proof of it.

Extremely short synopsis of Earth 2: A mother funds a space colony misson in a desperate bid to save her terminally ill child, and a crash leaves the colonists and the crew stranded. Devin is the leader, determined to see things through for her son, a wealthy and successful woman. Danziger is the practical and stubborn mechanic who only took the job to provide for his daughter. They're both single parents. They rely on each other but wouldn't admit it. They're both so stubborn and care so much and the show ends on one of the worst cliffhangers ever. Augh.
