I love getting unaccompanied minors (kids flying alone) who so clearly just. Don't want to be here lol. Sometimes I get to know a little of their story, like their parents are divorced, or a family member died and they're heading to the funeral, but usually they just don't want to talk about it and that's fine. But I always treat the flight like it's a challenge to make them smile. I offer them snacks and soda but that's never enough, that's whatever, they could get those from an airport vending machine. Chump change. So then I tell the worst jokes. Just the most embarrassing, kindergarten teacher, annoying dad jokes you can think of. And those always get a groan, or a "Seriously??" And that's my in! Now I can say "Why, what's your idea of a good joke? No, come on hotshot, make your best joke, let's see it." And they hem and they haw but of course they eventually tell me their very best joke because kids are little competitive comedy goldmines. And it's always super funny, so I laugh, and that's where they slip up. Because you know what you almost always do when your joke successfully makes someone laugh? You smile. And I'm like. Gotcha. Rookie move. Now you're going to end up having a good time in spite of yourself. I win.
Did this with an 11yo u.m. today and he said "What did the ghost say to the other ghost?" And I said "What?" "Nothing. Ghosts aren't real."
I'm literally a flight attendant, offering snacks and drinks is my job
"Tattoos are becoming unpopular", "piercings are unpopular again", "keep your hair natural never dye it again, it's the trend now" literally fuck off I know what y'all are doing
Perhaps this is an obnoxious take on my part, but video games should, above all things, prioritize the ability of being paused. At any point. Regardless of whether it's during a cutscene, a special animation, or a time-based puzzle. You never know when you're gonna get a phone call, or someone will need you in another room, or you get a sudden urge to go to the bathroom, or you hear your cat licking plastic, or whatever. Other entertainment mediums like books, movies, and music can be paused whenever you want. Why do some games not give you the same luxury??
I also think video games should let you save at any moment. Pausing temporarily because you got a phone call means you can leave the game open for a few minutes and not be worried that you're missing anything. But being able to pause, quit, and come back another day is a separate matter and also important.
I want to be able to quit in the middle of a battle and go to sleep and be able to turn my entire computer off. Actually I want to save after passing the first phase so I'll be able to load it back if I die in the second phase. Is that not how the battle is meant to be played? Well, I will rage quit if I have to go through the first phase again just to die to the same attack for the 5th time in a row, because it takes me 10 minutes to get to that point every time and if I can't pass it I can't keep playing the game.
Is your game single player? Then let me pause AND quit whenever I want without losing progress.

another heavy handed symbolism moment: my mom has a potted sunflower in the kitchen. because it is a sunflower, it keeps turning towards the light from the window. my mother keeps rotating it so it faces inward because she wants "to see its beautiful petals and have it really brighten up the space!" . the sunflower is visibly wilting .
are you going to tell her or
her masters degree is in biology

when you say something awkward and stupid in a social situation that probably no one will remember except you for the rest of time
a lot of people did not graduate from the very basic lesson of "What is a social construct"
Look. You're not obligated to understand the world around you. But if you don't, you will constantly stumble through the world, bewildered and confused.
im realizing very fast that people do not in fact know that sometimes things in stories suck on purpose and it sucking is the point

The connection between football and domestic violence isnāt uncommon. A study shows that police receive increased calls reporting domestic violence every Sunday during football season [iii]. Researchers analyzed over 700 cities and counties using data from the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) of police reports, revealing that these spikes are linked to teams losing a game [iii]. In fact, domestic violence incidents rise by about 10% on days when NFL games are played, usually occurring in family homes and most of the time affecting women [iii].Ā This shows that the outcomes of football games can have a real impact on peopleās lives off the field. Itās important for fans, teams, and communities to recognize these patterns and work together to raise awareness and prevent domestic violence from happening, especially during football season.
NFL games bring people from all over the United States together to show their love for the game, creating an atmosphere where diverse cultur

It's a heartbreaking and disturbing reality: Whether a team wins or loses, domestic violence increases by up to 33%* during major sports eve

I am Mohammed, I live in the northern besieged Gaza Strip, I am 21 years old, I have always tried to create a beautiful future for myself in which I achieve all my wishes. I had ambitions and dreams, but they evaporated because of the war, but I still want to achieve them despite the siege. During the war, I lost many things, including my university, my dreams, my job, and some friends. Despite that, I still want to achieve my dreams and ambitions. I want to rebuild my life again, so please help me in that and rebuild my life. Therefore,
please donate as much as you can because that helps me a lot. If you cannot donate, tell people about my suffering.

The costume and makeup styling is insane??? Unless I'm missing something and this is animated and not live action hello???
Like the "style" makes it look animated but the eyes and the hands and the background look very real to the point where I genuinely can't tell if it's insanely high quality animation detail or insanely artistically skilled makeup and costuming to mimic an animated artstyle
Don't worry it's 100% real! If you follow the source link and look through their account they demonstrate how they did the cosplay on other videos!
Iāve seen this kinda thing IRL and I wanna add that the illusion is, interestingly? a lot stronger in videos and photos! Probably because weāre used to seeing Animated things on Screens, but my experience of seeing it in meatspace with a 3d depth of field was that they looked kinda. Dirty? At first? Until somebody explained it to me and my brain suddenly saw it, whereas here itās obvious as the nose at the end of my face.
Perception is such a neat thing!
