Originally used as a story illustration for “Curse of the Spanish Treasure” by Ramon Valdes which appeared in Argosy of November 1959. The captured man was changed to a captured woman (and a shapely one at that) for the second use.
December 1955 cover from Man’s Magazine featuring a couple of bears settling their differences over a session of arm wrestling. The art is from John Leone, who did a lot of western and outdoors themed pulp covers before moving on to gallery work.
