Soap * 2
i'm being nice to you today.
GhostSoap Whumptober Teaser
Ghost follows Rudy to the back room, still supporting Soap, who’s getting heavier with each step—he’s only seconds from passing out for good. Together, they guide the sergeant into an ungraceful slump against the wall, legs splayed out in front of him, and Ghost crouches next to him while Rudy goes in search of the med kit.
"All right," he rasps, his fingers moving to unbuckle Soap's chest rig. "Let's see how bad this is."
Soap shakes his head. "It's just a flesh wound."
Ghost grunts in response, helping Soap shrug the rig and the plate carrier off. Soap winces, his hand moving to the bloody hole through his tee shirt, right through the meat of his shoulder.
"I'll be the judge of that," Ghost growls, reaching for Soap's shirt, tugging the neckline aside to have a look.
"I said I'm fine."
"Be still, sergeant."
Soap's eyes flash with challenge, humor, and something darker. "Is that an order, LT?"
Ghost meets Soap’s glassy stare, the blue of his irises so bright with intensity despite his obvious exhaustion and pain, and Ghost feels that fluttery, effervescent feeling in his stomach again. He can’t remember the last time he'd felt that feeling.
"Yes."
Soap submits to Ghost's touch as he examines the wound, valiantly trying to maintain a degree of indignation despite the way his body trembles.
"Bullet’s still in there, and this is going to have to be cleaned out; that water in those tunnels wasn't exactly sterile. I’ll see what’s keeping Rudy. Sit tight."
"Like I’ve got anywhere to go," Soap slurs, still defiant. Ghost pauses, turning back to look at him, and Soap quirks an eyebrow in silent challenge.
“Here.” Ghost grabs a bottle of water from the supply crate, opens it, and hands it to Soap. “Drink this. You’re probably dehydrated.”
Soap grins through a wince, stubborn as ever. “Aye, sir.” He tips the bottle back, gulps like he’s trying to prove a point, and wipes his mouth with the back of his hand. Ghost grunts, satisfied, and turns to stalk after Rudy. Handled.
Simon claws at the edges of his control—check again, make sure, don’t leave him—but Ghost smothers it down. He’s got this.
The back room smells of dust and disuse. Rudy digs through a crate, muttering about Alejandro’s kit. Ghost stands over him, impatient, shifting his weight like he’d rather be anywhere else. He tells himself it’s fine. Johnny’s fine.
When they return, he isn’t.
Soap has slumped sideways against the wall, head lolled, the half-empty bottle spilled beside his hip. For one stunned second Ghost just stares, brain blanking—then he’s dropping to his knees, grabbing Soap by the shoulder.
“Johnny!” His gloved hand shakes the sergeant hard enough to rattle his head against the plaster, but Soap doesn’t stir. Ghost’s stomach plummets. He fumbles for his wrist, pressing his thumb so hard into the vein he might bruise it. There it is—too fast, too thin, fluttering like a bird against his thumb. His skin is clammy, damp with cold sweat. Chest rising and falling, but far too shallow.
You did this. You left him. Gave him the bloody water, dumb fucking cunt, you've sent him into shock--
Ghost squeezes his eyes shut, forehead pressing to the crown of Soap’s head. “Don't do this, Johnny. Don't you dare do this. Wake up.”
Rudy drops the med kit with a thud, voice sharp. “He’s in shock.” He’s already tearing through supplies, urgent but steady. “Ghost, listen to me—emergency glucose gel. Rub it on his gums. Keep him warm.”
Ghost fumbles with the packet, hands trembling so violently he nearly tears it to shreds. He smears the glucose against Soap’s gums, clumsy, whispering the whole time. “C’mon, Johnny. Fight it. Don’t you dare check out on me.” His thumb never leaves Soap’s pulse point, as if his will alone could steady the erratic beats.
Rudy covers Soap with a blanket and crouches at the hearth to coax flame from tinder. His movements are quick but calm, controlled. He glances back at Ghost—this wreck of a man hunched over his sergeant, breathing ragged through his mask, shoulders tight as wire. The way Ghost clings to Soap’s wrist isn’t tactical. It’s personal.
Rudy's expression softens. “How is he doing?”
Ghost swallows hard, nods jerkily. “Pulse is weak. So bloody weak. He’s…is he—” His voice cuts off, breaks on a word he refuses to say.
“Shhh. Mira.” Rudy nods at Soap’s chest. “Look.”
Ghost does, breath caught in his throat. Soap’s chest is rising a little deeper now, breaths less frantic, though still too shallow. Under Ghost’s thumb, the pulse steadies, only a fraction stronger but enough to feel the shift. A fragile thread knitting itself back together.
Stalker Johnny who uses the same razor you shave your pussy with on his face WHATTT?? WHO SAID THAT
Johnny was sick. He knew it. But he didn’t care.
Not at all, not every time he snuck into your bathroom while you were out, he’d open that little pink razor you kept tucked away behind your lotions. The same razor you used to shave that pretty pussy of yours.
He’d run it down his jawline, taking his time, imagining your soft little hands holding it instead. By the time he rinsed the blade clean, there was always a twisted little smile curling on his lips.
Because when he walked out the door, freshly shaved and clean, it felt like you were with him. Like you’d touched him, just for a moment.
Headcanons on what romance tropes you think COD (plus Alex Keller, Graves, Rudy, and Alejandro) characters and their significant other would fall under/be?
hi !! thank you for requesting this !! i have so many ideas for this !!
Heey i saw your requests open and thought about a scenario while listening to "speak now" by taylor anyway
Who of the 141 would be more likely to stand up at the "speak now or forever hold your peace" to protest not losing the love of their life ? Or who would keep quiet and accept OR even go before the ceremony to the bride's room to beg for a second chance? (I love the drama)
Feel free to ignore it if it's something you don't want to do S2
To say I thought about this all night is not a joke. Now because I love happy endings….these will and I know that’s unrealistic but like c’mon😭😭😭 I hate sad endings😭😭
Most likely to stand up and protest:
Personally I feel like Johnny is the type to stand up and object. He can’t stand to see you marry this man that doesn’t love you the way that you should be loved. The moment the priest asks if there are any objections it’s soaps loud voice that echos as he stands up from the chair making his way down the aisle. He knows he’s fucked up and was actively trying to fix the wrongs in your relationship but it all went south when he showed up.
And the times that you came running to him after an argument with your fiancé or how he would stay out late and not tell you were he was, upset johnny so greatly. Your fiancé was never supposed to marry you , it was always Johnny. No matter what happened he would and he still intends to keep his promise
As he stands there pouring his heart out to you it was then that you realized what were you doing? How could you let this go on and continue? How could you let this man near you to begin with when Johnny was always there for you
And as soap pointed out all of your fiancé, almost husbands toxicity it was then you realized he was playing you for an utter fool. Using you to get what he wanted and how he didn’t care at all of what you wanted or even liked.
Letting go of his hands you took the wedding band off and threw it to the floor, running to Johnny who was dressed to the nines in a sleek black suit, arm out for his bride to take, as it should have been from the start
Gaz is another that would definitely object. Knowing that you want to start your life with someone, you want it to start as soon as possible. And with Gaz? He couldn’t fathom the idea of you not being in his life. Not being able to wake up to you every morning, to see you smile when you bring something home when your home already is a house to many other animals
Kyle stands up and moves himself to the end of the pew to get to the isle and takes a deep breath before walking up to you.
The way he looks at you and as he speaks, his voice cracks because he doesn’t want you to marry him. You should have been marrying the man that stood by you, helped you most when your fiancé kicked you out because he was paranoid you were cheating. Kyle couldn’t stand it. Hated it even
And although it may seem foolish and even embarrassing, he needed you to know that he still loved you and cared for you immensely. He never stopped when you two split. Hell, he still doesn’t even get proper sleep since you’ve been gone
And as he waits for you to dismiss him, he’s surprised to see you stepping down the alter and dropping the ring to the floor
Confronts before wedding
Simon is one to keep how he feels on the down low. Doesn’t want to cause a scene for you or your family, hell even his side just for your sake
He knocks on the door and waits for you to turn around as you’re busy fixing your veil. And as you turned around there stood Simon in the door way, a rose tucked into his suits front pocket
Despite splitting from Simon, he has taken on so much and even as far as saving your life a few times because your lame excuse of a fiancé couldn’t even stand in his two feet since daddy’s money was a great support system when shit hit the fan
He knows he has no right to be here right now but you know what he wants, what he needs to say. And he thought it was a stupid and terrible idea but he couldn’t just leave you without telling you that he still loved you through it all
He placed the rose by your table and grabbed a small note from his pocket. It was his own little goodbye to you. And as he turned to the door he heard you call out to him. For him to take you with. Away from all this because ever since he’s left it’s been utter hell and that you never stopped loving him either
And he was more than happy to take you away and make you a proper wife that you deserved to be that’s cherished and loved.
Price is another that doesn’t like to make big scenes and unnecessary drama. He paced outside your door wondering if this really was a good idea. He wanted you to be happy, to be loved, but how he was seeing it you weren’t getting these things at all with your fiancé
He knocked on the door and waited for you to open it. But what he heard instead was sniffles from the other side. He spoke on the other side to make his presence known before opening the door to see you by your make up table now in full blown tears
He sat beside you and took you in his arms, moving the stray hairs out of your face as you cling onto him. And even though it was your wedding day, he’d find and kill the persons that made you this upset
But before he could even ask he heard you apologize for leaving and not trying hard enough to work through the issues. How miserable you have been with your fiancé and wanted to escape the relationship you felt tied down in
And price without a doubt helped you clean your face, helping you fix your make up and took your hand, leaving the mistake you were about to be forced to marry behind
And price treated you to the most wonderful honeymoon you could’ve asked for and showed you the band he longed since had waiting just for you and now you have. Ready to be finally married to the right man
