I like the dynamic of them as tiny shitty 13 year olds, and I like the idea of John growing out of his heteronormativity and Karkat growing into his own self, and the two of them just… just being absolute ASSHOLES to each other. Like, neither can catch a break from the other, and neither of them WANTS to catch a break from the other. They LOVE pissing each other off and seeing each other scream and poking and prodding and pranking and they just have FUN together, and fun comes by way of friendly competition and wrestling mid-makeouts. Or is it makeouts mid-wrestling? Why not both. The two of them obviously are going to spend their lives together, they’ve got plenty of time!
