StrangeSpot, Round Twenty Five: Smith

Bondi tries cooking burgers on the barbecue and sets it on fire for a second time. He doesn’t even panic this time; while he waits for Virginia to get the extinguisher, he ponders what he could be doing wrong. Virginia is a knowledge/grilled cheese combo now so Bondi will probably be banned from barbecuing to make way for bread and cheese!

It’s a birthday for Jewel later that night and Virginia sets out to teach her niece how to talk. Her back must be sore from carrying this household, which continues to be chaos. Johnny’s final moment of peace is using the bathroom before he emerges to see the Grim Reaper’s bony finger pointing at him!

Jamie - now family/knowledge - feels ready to acquire a new familiar. Meet Patty the dog <3

StrangeSpot, Round Twenty Four: Smith

Teen drama alert: Taron has fallen in love with Bondi, despite their negative chemistry.

Virginia reaches her goal of becoming a world-renowned ballet dancer, retires, and saves her children from a fire when Bondi tries to cook hamburgers on the barbecue. What a queen! This household is clearly chaos at the best of times so she also hires a butler thanks to her cushy retirement fund.

While Jamie is mixing potions (Practical Magic, 1998 style), Johnny and Brighton check out the study, where Jewel also sleeps. Brighton’s a bit jealous that he’s not magical like aunt Jill and uncle Jamie. Johnny tells him that being an alien is much cooler. Spaceships, space blasters, space in general!

StrangeSpot, Round Twenty Four: Grunt

Buying a house, getting married, having kids... it’s serving trad-life but Ace and Lacy are all about it! They got married right away in their backyard and their first child is on the way. Their furnishings are a bit bare since they wanted a three bedroom home out the gate, but it’s worth it to be on a relatively peaceful Strangetown culdesac with nice neighbours like Johnny Beech.

StrangeSpot, Round Twenty Two: Smith

Cute couple alert! Jamie and JoAnn get married, and the latter gets a phone call from Dot with all the goss about the love corner going on with Daisy, Helen and Miles. She’ll always be a Printer Sister and be involved in their lives!

Brighton gets lots of attention from everyone in his big family and Jill rekindles a teenage romance with Leon. He’s engaged but that doesn’t stop them from sleeping together... oof.

StrangeSpot, Round Twenty One: Smith

Three birthdays this round! Virginia is an elder, Bondi is a teen and Brighton is a toddler. Jill’s been taking care of Brighton when Johnny and Virginia need a break. That’s fine - as long as she can hand him back! She likes being an aunt for that reason. Besides, she has other things on her to-do list, so to speak... it pains me to see Rocky being unfaithful to Ophelia with yet another woman, but Jill looks like she’s having a blast.

StrangeSpot, Round Nineteen: Smith

Jenny passes away and Jill takes her place in the coven. She’s been preparing for this role for a while but she’d really rather have her mother back right now.

Johnny and Virginia have good news though - they’re expecting a second child! I wasn’t sure they were planning to have another kid but here we go. They tell Bondi first, to cheer him up.

June decides she wants to go to university after all. You know what that means - doing that hilariously high pile of homework she’s been ignoring!

Music, magic, learning and love. That’s what Jenny wants for her family.

She hopes the harmony will continue when she’s gone.

Virginia and Johnny have their baby boy, Bondi. I’m looking forward to seeing how their genetics got along. Recessive brown eyes from both sides of the family so far!

Meanwhile, River and Jill have decided they’re happy to be a childfree couple. River can’t have kids, but other than that, they’re just not interested. They have each other and their whole lives ahead of them <3
