meet our new baby 🐾
requested by @aloveminsalade - Hi hi ^^ I wanted to make a fluffy request to the streamer Jungwon, where he records a video for his channel surprising the reader by giving her a Sphynx cat as a gift (which was her dream) and they 3 have a very sweet moment together, n going viral as the cutest couple. #ilovebeingacatlover #ilovejungwoncatlover Hi hi ^^ thank you for this super!
Jungwon always said his viewers could tell when he was nervous.
It wasn’t anything obvious, no shaky hands or stuttered words. It was the way his smile stayed just a little too fixed, the way he kept glancing off-screen like he was checking on a secret that might sprout legs and run away.
And today, oh, he was definitely nervous.
“Okay,” he said, clapping his hands once and leaning closer to the camera. The familiar glow of his streaming setup reflected in his eyes, soft and warm. “Hi, guys. Welcome back to the channel.”
The live chat exploded immediately.
HE’S EARLY TODAY??
WHY DOES HE LOOK LIKE THAT
Jungwon, what are you hiding
He laughed, a little breathy, rubbing the back of his neck. “You’re already starting… I haven’t even done anything yet.”
He adjusted the camera slightly, making sure it still framed the living room behind him. The couch was neatly arranged, fairy lights faintly glowing even though it was still daytime. There was a soft pink blanket folded on one side, yours. A detail his viewers had learned to recognize over time.
“As you can tell,” he continued, voice gentler now, “today’s video is… a bit different.”
The chat slowed, anticipation buzzing.
“I’ve mentioned Y/N, my love, before,” he said, trying—and failing—to suppress the smile that curved his lips. “But today I wanted to do something special. For her.”
He reached down, fingers brushing against something out of frame. His eyes flicked toward the hallway, listening.
“She should be home any minute,” he murmured. “So… I’m going to keep filming. And if everything goes well—”
A soft click echoed through the apartment.
Jungwon’s head snapped up.
“Oh. That’s her.”
The chat went feral.
WAIT WAIT WAIT
IS THIS A COUPLE REVEAL??
I’M SHAKING
Footsteps approached, familiar and light. The door opened, and you stepped in, slipping off your shoes with a tired sigh.
“Wonie?” you called out, unaware of the tens of thousands of eyes watching. “I’m home.”
“In here,” he answered, standing a little too quickly.
You rounded the corner and froze.
Camera. Lights. Jungwon is standing in front of it, cheeks already pink.
“…Why are you filming?” you asked, blinking.
He walked toward you, hands clasped in front of him like he was trying to keep his heart from leaping out. “Hi.”
You laughed softly. “Hi?”
“I wanted to surprise you,” he said. “Is that okay?”
You glanced at the camera again, realization dawning. “Oh. Your channel.”
“Mm.” He nodded. “You don’t have to stay if you don’t want to.”
You studied him for a second, his hopeful eyes, the barely-contained excitement, and then smiled. “It’s okay. I trust you.”
That alone made the chat lose its mind.
Jungwon exhaled, visibly relieved. “Okay. Good.”
He gently took your hands, thumbs brushing over your knuckles. “So… you know how you’ve always said you had a dream pet?”
Your eyes lit up instantly. “Wonie—”
“And you know how you keep sending me videos at three in the morning,” he continued, grinning now, “of hairless cats in sweaters?”
“They’re cute,” you protested weakly, already suspicious.
“They are,” he agreed readily. “And you’ve been saying for years that if you ever got one, you’d want a girl. A Sphynx. And you’d name her something soft.”
Your breath caught. “Jungwon…”
He squeezed your hands. “I’ve been planning this for a while. I talked to a breeder. I learned everything: diet, skincare, temperature, all of it. And I wanted to make sure I could take care of her with you.”
Then, carefully, he stepped aside.
At his feet was a small carrier you hadn’t noticed before.
Something inside it moved.
You stared, unmoving, like your brain had stopped processing reality.
“…No,” you whispered.
Jungwon crouched, opening the carrier slowly.
A tiny, warm, pinkish-gray Sphynx kitten peeked out, big ears twitching, wide, curious eyes blinking up at the world. She let out the tiniest, squeakiest meow.
Your hands flew to your mouth.
“Oh my god,” you breathed.
Jungwon looked at you, not the camera. Always you. “Meet your dream.”
The next few seconds blurred.
You dropped to your knees, tears already spilling as the kitten toddled forward, unsteady and brave. You scooped her up like she was made of glass, holding her close to your chest.
“She’s real,” you choked out. “She’s actually real.”
The kitten purred immediately, pressing her wrinkly little face against your collarbone.
You were crying now, quiet, overwhelmed sobs you didn’t even try to hide. Jungwon knelt beside you, one arm wrapping around your shoulders, the other gently stroking the kitten’s back.
“You like her?” he asked softly, voice barely above a whisper.
You turned to him, eyes red, smiling so hard it hurt. “I love her. I love her so much.”
He laughed, eyes shining. “Good. Because she’s ours.”
The chat was unreadable at this point, nothing but hearts, crying emojis, capital letters screaming about SOULMATES and THIS IS ILLEGAL LEVELS OF CUTE.
You sniffed, still holding the kitten close. “What… what’s her name?”
Jungwon tilted his head. “I thought… maybe you’d want to name her together?”
You smiled through tears. “I think she feels like a Luna.”
The kitten meowed again, as if approving.
“Luna, it is,” he said immediately.
You leaned into Jungwon without thinking, forehead resting against his shoulder. He kissed the top of your head, slow and gentle, like the moment deserved to be handled with care.
“Thank you,” you whispered. “For knowing me. For remembering.”
He hugged you tighter. “Always.”
Eventually, he remembered the camera existed.
“Oh,” he said sheepishly, glancing up. “Uh. Guys. This is Y/N.”
You waved weakly, still emotional, Luna bundled in your arms.
“And,” he added, voice fond and proud, “she’s my favourite person.”
That clip—that exact line—would later be replayed millions of times.
The video went viral within hours.
Edits flooded every platform: Jungwon’s nervous smile, your stunned expression, Luna’s first meow, the way Jungwon never once looked at the camera during the actual moment, only at you.
Headlines called you the softest couple on the internet. Fans dubbed Luna the nation’s kitten. Comments poured in about how gentle he was, how loved you looked, how safe the moment felt.
But none of that mattered as much as later that night.
The cameras were off. The apartment was quiet.
You lay on the couch, Luna curled against your chest as she’d always belonged there. Jungwon lay beside you, one arm draped over your waist, thumb tracing slow circles into your skin.
“She’s snoring,” you whispered, amused.
He smiled into your hair. “Just like you.”
You laughed softly. “You’re impossible.”
“But you love me.”
You turned to look at him, eyes warm. “I really do.”
His smile softened, something tender and steady settling in his gaze.
“Good,” he murmured. “Because I think… this is only the beginning.”
Luna purred between you, the sound filling the room like a promise.
And somewhere online, the world replayed your happiness on loop, while you lived it quietly, together. 💕🐱
