I must uphold the JoyMu agenda. So far it’s looking promising, but i’m kind of scared of what the next chapters may reveal about them

I must uphold the JoyMu agenda. So far it’s looking promising, but i’m kind of scared of what the next chapters may reveal about them
Oda’s foreshadowing for the Joy Boy/Imu yaoi….... My god! These bitches gay! Good for them! Good for them.
This idiot keeps pinning after their dead exes that they had a hand in killing
Idk I’m not buying that Imu is in love with Lily, especially since Oda holds the belief that shonen fans would find that kind of motivation corny. So for it to be the main villain’s driving force feels unlikely to me. And since Dressrosa reads like a microcosm of the One Piece world’s history, I've always felt like Imu’s obsession with Lily mirrors Doflamingo’s fixation on Law. Doflamingo needed Law and his Ope Ope no Mi to complete his plan to rule the world. In the same way, Imu might want Lily/Vivi to complete his “unfinished world,” especially since he explicitly said it is incomplete. Arabasta is the only nation from the original 20 that refused to join the World Government, and Imu’s design has strong Egyptian influences, which makes me think Arabasta is central to his plans, Egypt & pyramids & magic go hand in hand, so i assume it's important to Imu’s whole deal somehow. Especially with the whole illuminati imagery oda is using.
It’s also interesting that Imu wasn’t certain about Lily’s betrayal or even her being a D until recently. Similarly, Doflamingo wasn’t fully sure about Law’s betrayal until the events in Punk Hazard, and only learned Law was a D after Law told him.
So.... could Law inheriting Corazon’s will = Lily inheriting Joy Boy’s will?
Is Lily Imu’s “replacement” for Joy Boy, in the same way Law was Doflamingo’s replacement for Corazon?
And if so, does that imply Joy Boy and Imu are siblings? (Not necessary for the parallel to work. I hope they're sake brothers)
Also, Doflamingo’s Heart seat was the one left empty, which feels like obvious symbolism. But in this arc we also learned that “iron hearts” are a thing, so Imu might have an “iron heart,” which could serve a similar symbolic role to the missing Heart seat in Dressrosa.
Also worth noting that Doflamingo saw himself in Law and really didn’t want to kill him. He wanted him as his RIGHT HAND MAN. Could Imu have seen himself in Lily at some point? maybe in her leadership or in the way she viewed the world? Could Imu still actually be a woman after all? Oda didn’t show Imu's full design in that panel of them laughing with Joy Boy for some reason. There are also number pun theories that led people to think Imu was an old queen for a long time (+parallels with Kureha/Shirahoshi/big mom)
Damn, Imu, how bad was the divorce? Its been over 800 years and you still haven't let it go!
Luffy and Law give me Joyboy and Imu vibes without the doomed by the narrative 800 year old situationship that one party still cant forget.
Law seeing himself in Imu as someone who lost everything, and hating them because they let their hatred twist the world, and knowing that if he did not end up with Cora for those few months/years he would be the same.
Law who recognizes himself if he was raised by Doflamingo when he was a young child wanting nothing more then to destroy the world. He hopes that he wouldn't be able to do it even then, but Law still worries.
Luffy is his usual self, no random old creature gets to tell him how he and Law will end up. Luffy gets to chose his own fate, and he is going to live, beat up Imu so everyone can be free and be king of the pirates! He is not leaving Law behind in all that, and besides this joyboy guy never got to be king, so that's a skill issue that Luffy aint going to have.
Imu will continue to taunt them, so sure that yes Joyboy will live just as he lives again in this youth, but what price will it cost to the holder of the ope ope no mi? Imu knows from his own experience will give anything for each other, will die on foolish sentimentality that in the end will mean nothing, that no matter what one of them will be left behind!
Okay, joining in on the JoyMu conversation. I love when it's mutual, but also imagine one-sided Joymu with obsessive Imu. Like Joyboy and Imu were friends at some point in the void century and to Joyboy that's all they were. But Imu had this mix of jealousy, resentment, admiration, love, that all mixed into this obsessive, stalkerish behavior
It wasn't even a bad divorce 800 years ago, Imu's just some fucking stalker lol
new ship just dropped?? Imulu??? Nikamu??? shuggy predecessors????
imu & joyboy might’ve been friends in the past??? maybe imu was actually happy in joyboy’s dominion at some point?????🤨
but also maybe a little jealous of his power?? or both?? like admiration mixed with resentment??
that panel of them laughing kinda gives me shuggy vibes…..it suggests a time before things fell apart, which raises questions about what caused the shift. Did Joy Boy chose to abandon his role as a king in pursuit of freedom??? Did he leave Imu with all the responsibilities?? which may have led to lingering resentment???
Is imu just bitter because joyboy was more loved or more charismatic as a king?? or maybe he wants to be like him in some way?? There seems to be an element of wanting to measure up to Joy Boy or even replace him in some sense.
idk but the dynamic right now really feels like shuggy, especially with the whole “clown” thing last chapter (even if that’s not what was said in japanese adfgsg)
The resentment does not seem purely political or ideological; it feels VERY personal. His face looks hilarious.
and LUFFY’S reaction 😭😭😭
Basically he got yelled at by his ancient gf and he's like “I have no idea what's going on but I'm in big trouble rn”😭😭
their dynamic is gonna be so unserious 😭 imu holding 800 years of resentment and luffy's just like I don't even know who you are?????? The one sided beef is even worse than shuggy oh my god
also him reminiscing about Joy Boy is what caused him to get hit by Loki...?? oml
So excited for the edgy shonen villain VS Looney Tunes MC one-sided rivalry.
