Summary:
Something about its gaze unnerves Bruce–it’s too still, too dead, too cold– and it speaks to the primitive human part of his brain that says ‘enemy!’. Something inside of him tells Bruce that he should kill it before it’s too late. It’s different. Dangerous. The child, a boy with trailing bruises along his pale skin and eyes that shine just a bit too green, pauses. His fingers nervously pick at the iron collar around his throat. Despite his petite frame and defeated posture, he registers as an absolute threat. “You want to kill me too, don’t you?” He whispers, thin voice resigned and tired, the cadence of a man on death row. He sounds as if he’s exhausted by Bruce’s fear. “How do you know?” Bruce has to ask, curiosity peaking despite how much the hairs of his arms stand up. . The boy only shrugs. -- Bruce has a bad habit of picking up abominations, but he's learned a long time ago that sometimes the only thing that monsters need to stop being monsters is a little bit of love.

Family You Made (Go Back, Do it Again)

Summary:He’s nine again– nine and new and knows so many things now so rather than try to go back– He thinks he has the chance to make things right. The bright blue trainers he puts on are a pair he hasn’t worn in forever, something he never thought about after he grew out of them (will grow out of?) a year from now, and sets off into the night and into the rain. The plan he has in his brain is not really a plan, moreso just a couple of half thrown ideas and maybe five steps into building back the life he had in the most painless way he could. Maybe, he thinks, maybe this plan can start off with the family he misses– because he’s sixty and most of them too injured or too old or too dead– Call him selfish but he misses them. He would rather find them than get himself back into that lonely existence he called a life before he woke up at nine. Dick makes do because that’s all he can do really. -🦇- Dick gets sent back in time, but don't worry, he's got this. (Probably)
My thoughts: I have no understanding of the timeline of this fic, but it's honestly really cute. Bruce is a good parent even though he only has the most vague idea of what is going on at any given point in time. The kids are cute. This author also wrote Loading and Aspect Ratio which I'm also a big fan of although I didn't realize that until just now.
Is Sam is checking Danny's suit before he flies out? Locating a tiny blob ghost stowaway? Orrrr did Tucker lose his PDA privileges 6 seconds before this, and Sam has just found the ultimate hiding place?
"Danny, hold still."
"What are you doing, Sam?"
"Nothing. Okay, now fly 5,000 feet away."
"Why?"
[sounds of Tucker falling down the lab stairs in a frantic rush to get his PDA back]
"JUST GO!! GO GO GO"
"WHY DID YOU PUT IT IN HIS HOOD, SAM?!"
"HE DOESN'T HAVE POCKETS, TUCKER."
....in other words, I wanted to draw @jube-art's suit redesign. again. (。・∀・)ノ゙

Fave unhinged Tim moment? Where he casually lived in the stables instead of the mansion when he had to live with Bruce for a while to get out of actually living with Bruce
The realest question is when does the most baby Alfred come in?
When Bruce is in his mid 20s probably after he actually becomes batman definitely

Summary: So, it didn’t start out like this. Alfred would scoff at the statement, about how Bruce was trying to justify the whole situation to himself. It had started out as a simple design, black everything with black outlines and black hood. It got a little more intense as the world went on, got wind of his ghost on the streets, and became scared of The Bat . So Bruce got a little more creative with it, Alfred and him had a good laugh over the name, the scare, and Alfred had a vicious streak of humor that he had passed onto his ward- So now the suit had a visible bat-theme, an insignia to drape in the shadows and to paint across the streets of Gotham. It only took a year into the whole charade of heroism for Bruce to overhear a conversation between some goons- some low level thug hired by the Riddler this week- about nothing at all pertaining to what the hell the Riddler was doing in the sewers but instead: “ The Batman can fly, you know, I’ve seen his wings.” -- A world where nobody has wings, but people think they do, and that changes everything.
My thoughts: It's just so good okay. Like Bruce does overcomplicate himself, he would do this absolutely if he could. And Clark! trying so hard to be respectful! And the kids are little shits but we expect that from there.
