the whole OR scene - dowon showing up, the visible relief on yiyoung’s face, him telling her to pull it together, her locking in because she trusts him, him taking a deep breath of his own, the forever ost playing ART ITS ART
and thennn the look on his face when he sees them hugging
like that’s the thing if we think about timeline….she fell for him in March when she started, and confessed on her birthday in may. And then assuming he fell for her when she stood up for him that would be June, and now it’s September I think? so all these feelings have been marinating for a while lol but he’s still coming to terms with it
like the frame of them both in surgical scrubs getting ready to start in this scene was what sold me on this pairing
so for me, the whole “jealous” scenes in the OR, and then in the rain weren’t exactly “jealousy” but more like him suddenly getting hit in the head with the realization that it bothers him. And then having to grapple with the fact of why it bothers him…like a somewhat mix of confusion/hurt/disappointment/acceptance/denial etc
and then starting with the elevator scene, and the phone in the car, it starts to evolve more into why tf is this guy dongho everywhere - so more irritation and then also a sort of anguish at himself for being bothered….and then the direct acceptance at the end of waiting for her after the dinner with dongho and asking her directly
SOOOOO I do love a good anguished lead struggling to accept their feelings and this is an awesome contrast with yiyoung who has always been sure of her own feelings for him (omg the scene where she was staring at him the OR and dongho saw heheh)
ugh I love them together but I’m also just loving these characters on their own tooooo
Just started #ResidentPlaybook and I absolutely adore Ku Do-won and Oh Yi-young’s personalities/characters!! I’m only in episode 4 but he’s gentle and nonjudgmental in a way that Yi-young isn’t used to and doesn’t receive well despite it being something positive. It’s overwhelming, how safe and supportive he can be sometimes but it seems she has yet to realize her capabilities and worth. Everyone around her can see it, and I’m sure it’s glaringly obvious to him considering how much effort he put into making sure she got that second chance. They suit each other so well and I am obsessed with them.
If you shout, this dog will be more scared.
