Look at my baby girl Serenity wrapped like a Chipotle burrito.

She was always intended to be the baby goat that keeps the steroid jacked race horse Jupiter calm and she somewhat succeedes. Her vibes are so blunt and care free you can't help to sigh and shake your head in acceptance. Serenity is probably one of the closest relationships Jup has, nothing beats a sibling even if Jupiter was adopted in the King's family. They are cousins tho, if one wishes to be technical Jupiter was adopted by Serenity's mother's sister.

Serenity has a natural princess experience that Jupiter is equally jealous and protective of. Like it sucks to have more leadership and responsibilities imposed on you but also clearly Serenity isn't given as many opportunities as Jup and they know this. That's why Jup takes her along for the ride and Serenity sticks with them like glue.

TLDR; If Jup get paid they both get paid.

Now in current time since Jupiter has been able to properly send Serenity to college she has the time to focus on being married lol. Serenity is always gonna have a place to crash with Jup tho

It's been like 7 months since I ran this case and I haven't posted the result of my labor lol.

When I started this project in *checks notes* mid 2024 I did not start with the Fool, I didn't actually have much in mind for what I wanted this one to look like. I had other ideas of escape and being on the run to start Jupiter's life but when I sat down to give it a go I didn't like it until I focused on a very fairy tale type of illustration, the motion became a back seat to the reason Jup wants new beginnings which would be running from incarceration in 1910's

Also while they are tarot cards they are not for fortune telling they are moreso Jupiter's fortune told. In cannon Jupiter is a adult suffering from a half sealed internal chimera and who long since lost her reflection. This was the solution to finding her reflection, seeing herself honestly through a story she knows well in a way she can explain. Definitely more about finding her identity overall and I hope yall like seeing it!

Also also, it wasn't until I started this project and did some research did I find out that freedom quilts weren't actually used in the underground railroad, and I've been taught this since elementary school. I cry fr because it was cool to me and inspiration for Jupiter but I have come to terms that even if it isn't real it's folklore, it's absolutely a kind of storybook wishful element I still can appreciate for what it wanted to do.

Lol yap time! This card very much resonates with Jupiter a lot, more traditionally I believe it's more about manifestation, spiritual and worldly understanding, but with Jupiter it leans heavily to the knowledge and teaching aspect of the card. Being so early in the fools journey it takes the form of self - education.

This one felt very on the nose to do but it's such a running theme for Jupiter to be dedicated and put things together their own way. From the way Jupiter takes in information to finding out new ways to use that information to her advantage, Jupiter values personal assets and knowledge. She is very resourceful, eager to learn new skills, she has a very natural curiosity. I feel that if she wasn't so reliant on self teaching she wouldn't be so willing and dedicated to go through the challenge of making these cards, heck, she wouldn't be able to be a deer and seal chimera if she wasn't teachable. So yea. Very important skill and trait for Jupiter.

Also since we are here Jupiter's name changes through her lifetime but usually follows a doubled theme. Jupiter is the Roman sky god deity like Zeus. His role as the king of the gods/Olympus, the leader figure, and sheer planetary girth reflected spiritually the vibe I wanted the surname King to give. Before they wanted Jupiter as a name XX is used as their non-identifier. I enjoyed setting up the contrast between a lack of self identity and an imposed one. At the end she is very much right in between living a nice life she picked up on the way.

Death, a swift and sudden change, was always going to refer to Jupiter's chimera posession.

I very much leaned into the emotional vampire concept of voodoo, a spiritual entity that attaches to you and drains your life away. It took on Jupiter's reflection and their shadow and steals Jups joy by filling Jup's head with insecurity and making them hunt for validation. It's a woman in the most feral sense, super selfish and speaks through Jupiter's tounge. She is only Eve because Jupiter burdens themself to be Adam and they need something to blame for being unhappy like that.

There is a nature to this chimera crash out that I want to represent visually but I am not at that power level yet. Eve would be really cool and creepy tho.

Thats a real freak, that thing, but I also think it would change dramatically if it left Jupiter and possessed anyone else. Like idk I could see it being a leech under Roswell’s scarf drinking hot blood by keeping him riled up and angry.

I wish I had more time to make her yap and interact, but like, she had liquor to steal, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

Da Worldo!

After Lore Dumping: The Case we finally arrive at the last card. As Jupiter has been missing from the office the cards unfolded their story at conflict with a hidden chimeric identity and their whereabouts are in a super state. The notion of living out isolated from her hometown problems gave Jupiter the space she needed to form her own opinions and experiences without the taint of knowing what happened. Jupiter has been playing off the chime while she worked at JCC but there isn't really a way to go back to 'normal' after all that despite her best efforts.

She told no one, just tried to start fresh and realized in the middle she has been barely holding it together for so long rest feels strange and unfamiliar. She didn't tell anyone, not even Ros, just shows symptoms of hiding like covering mirrors, changing from suits to dresses in closets, hiding to nap. Eventually she grew to be more comfortable doing what she liked, even felt reward for trusting her instincts, she's learned to seal chimera, they found Li's family chimera, everything is going good.

When the King's announce their planned arrival Jupiter was put into a decision: keep the status quo and report they have learned what they needed to seal the chimera in their hometown or come out to them and explain she wants a life in Tenpei.

Good ending, of course, is to live her best life but there is a bad end / reverse reading for this card.

Cold, but Jupiter putting family values and structure first makes for someone who would cross alliances to give themself the best stratigic chance. The establishment of a formal relationship between the King's and a well off connection in Tenpei was always the goal to them.

Tldr: we are glad she's out of the closet but both me and her husband agrees she should wear the suit sometimes still, for the fun of it, it's a good look on her.
