My Hero Academia movie comments, WITH SPOILERS:
Good movie. A review somewhere said that it’s ‘a fun film, but entirely inconsequential’. AND IT TOTALLY IS. But everyone in the theatre still applauded and cheered and REACTED and that was honestly the best part.
At least five people in 1-A did absolutely nothing. Possibly six. I can’t recall seeing Koda at any point other than the during-credits sequence.
Tokoyami and Shoji appeared once, and they were together. Tokoyami showed up during a credits photo and half of the theatre randomly burst in to cheers and applause.
Sero and Sato shared a hotel room.
I am 100% convinced that the writers of this movie looked around Tumblr and at popular fanfic tropes associated with MHA, ‘cause Hagakure PULLED OUT A GODDAMN UNO DECK. And i’m pretty sure Sero-Sato and Tokoyami-Shoji are just flat dating.
LOTS OF ACTION AND DRAMA and honestly some really unexpected bits.
.... i still have no idea what happened to Samwise Gamgee at the end of that thing. Yes, i’m gonna keep calling him Samwise Gamgee.
The advertisements, specifically the SDCC convention ones, showed everyone in formal wear doing punchy things and honestly that was deceptive, since so many in 1-A were just... Not there.
MINETA WAS USEFUL.
There was quite a bit more ‘grown up’ content. Not quite adult; one swear was said out loud in English, I think? ... Kaminari and Mineta chanted ‘harem, harem, harem!’ for a while.

I spent all day rewatching some Sanders Sides videos, and I've noticed I'm starting to act like a combination between Logic and Anxiety...All my extra commentary...I feel sorry for my family now Wait! Does this mean tomorrow I'll act like Morality and Princey combined? Oh dear, what will that look like? Anyway, hope you're all having a good day! Byeeeeee, love ya!!!
I just started reading Black Clover since I was ✨extremely bored✨ and it's available for free in Manga+. Just sayin, I'd actually dwell into the fandom if I found, AND have interest in this kind of story earlier. It has superb art quality with great world-building and explainable magic system, I understand why this title keeps brought up in almost every action-fantasy stories' comment section. This kind of story is hard to go bad. I wonder when was I started to take interest in fantasy stories, I used to hate it😂
The downside is, they gotta make the plot keep moving WHILE supporting the world and this is where things can go ugly/stagnant. Imo BC has similar plot progression with Lord of the Rings, they "started out" with the world not with the plot unlike modern "isekai"/litRPG stories (eg. SAO, Konosuba, Tensura, plenty bunch of manhwa)--I hope you get it hAHa. These kind of plots is hard to go bad but very prone to be very mediocre, so sometimes they stuck at this "above average" rating, and some even never reach "peak fiction" kind of plot.
Gonna say that August has been surprisingly packed this year. I usually expect August and January to be the slowest months of any given year but we’ve gotten a lot out of this time.
Trailers for Eternals and No Way Home, Stargirl and Supergirl returning, Titans coming back for a third season, What If premiering, Psychonauts 2 and No More Heroes III being released, Gamescom having some really good surprises (I don’t usually watch because Nintendo’s not involved but there were some good announcements this year), The first details on the crossover event for The Flash (which has Black Lightning returning!)
It’s been a fun month.
